Re: Witnessed a fight this evening!!!!!!! yea i love witnessing new experiences in the woods, last year i witness my first actuall chasing and sparring, and i never saw the buck but it was late oct. and i was bleating and i heard a grunt from out of know where, never saw the buck because of the thick cover but it scared the sh@t outta me cuase i was like wow it really worked, lol just memories and somthing to smile and tell others about!!...any more cool stories anyone has...we need to get a new post going!!!

Re: Major problem?!!!!!????? im with you magsteve, im from bloomington but hunt at my fam. farm in west central indiana and a nice front is coming through this evening and there talking rain from now till friday maybe sat., but im thinking some food plot stands or an ambush point in between a bed and food source sounds better than the couch, ill be out all day, not gonna leave the stand, i dont care cause after opening day i cant hunt until the next weekend so im gonna take every thing i can get, i cant wait, i got it bad

Re: Harness yea i hear ya, i always had a harness and used it as decoration once on stand, this year i think everyone has gotten me talked into it, i like to climb high, mom, dad, friends, GIRL FRIEND...whatever...lol....co-workers, so anyways ill use it i promise...

Re: Checking in Deer? wow...interesting....no personal interaction??!!, do you think there is anyhting unethical involved as far as lying about being a buck or doe and the type of tag that is used, i understand you have to have tag numbers but that just seems to easy for dnr, oh well, just an opinion, but interestingly enough it seems convienient for us hunters.

Re: What size sight pins in what order? the smaller dia. sounds like it is the best for farther distances....but in some cases the larger one...no offense for some of you seasoned vets!!!.....i use the larger at close ranges and smaller at farther ranges

Re: Who\'s holding out.... time in the hunt is key for me...ive just finished a big move and live about an hour and 30 mins. from my woods that i hunt in and so ive just made it back intime a weekago to put a camera out where TYPICALLY i get good results so we'll see, and opening day for me is this sunday the 1 st.....wish they wouldve made it on sat, but only on sunday, then its back to school and wait out another week till i can head back. ive taken some nice bucks the past few years and typically im gonna get my doe outta the way and get settled in for the pre rut..rut..and post rut hunts!!!...130 or better

Re: Cold front coming through! nice, yea ya aint kiddin, im headin up north bakc home for the weekend to help my step dad get things ready for harvest and my step bro is gonna get busy too, so im gonna help him locate a nice spot for a new stand site we got goin and hopfully have some pics to load on here, good luck with that doe, it will be a great evening for it!!
