I agree totally. I have had the best luck with the doe decoy facing away. You also want to make sure it is positioned to give deer entering the field a good view of it. I try to position it so as deer enter the field they see the side of the decoy. Also make sure if using a buck decoy it is not bigger than the deer in your area. I used to have this problem in my area, so I cut down the rack on the decoy. I had better luck with it after that. Mostly I use a doe decoy, this works well for both bucks and does.
