  1. The cavs don't have a chance, but I like to at least see them put up a fight. The spurs are too sound of a team to lose right now. I love watching them play.
  2. I can't help ya out. I bought one for my mothers day one year (hoping to use it myself ), but she returned it because we didn't buy it onsale. I would like to get one thought.

    Finding Land

How do find out who owns the fields? Just pick a random farm house?
  4. Yeah, I can't wait till I am ready to get out west. I will have to get in better shape.
  5. how do you go about scouting for waterfowl? Just sit around some of the water in the area? Where do you concentrate your scouting?
  6. I am going duck hunting this year for the first time. I got a lab a year and half ago and really want to get him into ducks. where do I start. The equipment I have to work with is a dozen mallard decoys and a few calls. I don't have a boat at this point, so I am going to concentrate on places I can walk too and hunt from land. I live in missouri, around KC so I hope there is plenty of places to go. How do I know what places will be good come hunting season? My goal this season is to get my dog some birds, so thanks for the help.

    Finding Land

I was just wondering what ways you all look for and gaing access to new land? I usually just find mine through people I know. But when I moved from Nebraska to Missouri, I am having trouble finding private land. Luckily there is a ton of good public land to tide me over. But where to you all look?
  8. I am going to be planning an elk trip in the future and want to get a little bit better idea on cost. How much would a typical elk trip cost? What are some areas that I can cut cost? The cheeper I can make the trip the sooner I can go. I would really like to do a backcountry camping trip, I figure that would be less expensive and more fun. But I don't know if it would be wise being my first elk trip. So what do you spend on average on a trip?
  9. I am not sure if this link will work. It is to a YouTube video. It is supposedly a suburban buck. It is a massive deer. I would like to know what suburb.
  10. looks like a deer to me. It seems to be looking back towards the camera but walking away.
  11. I know you aren't selling anything, but if you were is it legal where you are to make money when using public land? I know here in Missouri you can't sell videos or guide people on public land. I have never totally understood it. A fishing guide can guide on public lakes, and fishing movies can be made on public lake, but what about hunters? We would have to pay big money these days to have land to make videos or guide. Thats just missouri, I don't know about other states.

    guitar songs

I am teaching myself to play guitar. Someone give me a good, fun song that won't be all too hard to pick up. Something good to play while camping would be cool as well.

    Morels

I found one today. I wasn't looking for though. Where do you consentrate looking for them. In nebraska, where I used to live, we just look in the woods along the Platte River.
  14. thanks for the help. You don't think it would be smart to start off with a small property around future housing development? Would it cause the cost of your land to increase faster? Then you could sell it and find a larger property in an area you like better.
  15. It has always been a dream of mine to have some land of my own. Something that I can always be sure that my family and I will have access too. However, I don't have much experience with farming or land managing and have no idea where to start. How do you find land and determine if it is a good price? What is a good way to be able to afford it? And what are some ways to make some money off of it? Is there any recources out there to help someone get started with this? Books, maybe? I am young and would like to start planning for this now. It would be an awesome dream to reach.
  16. Nice sheds. The big ones are sweet. I would love to look for elk sheds.
