  1. Has any of you guys planted triticale for food plots?Found a real deal on some and wanted to get some input first.
  2. Nascar fined Tony 25K and docked him 25pts according to Nascar.com.I also read in the article that Nascar said that language like that was "Detrimental"to the image of stock car racing! No Nascar, the Bull!@#$ Rules and Regulations that you have set to uphold your uppity snotnosed image is DETRIMENTAL to stockcar racing.I believe it is a bunch of horse crap..
  3. Rigged IMHO,I like the looks of the new Yota, and they do have a heck of a engine,But I would really like to see shots of the front axles to see if either one,(Toyota), was locked in.
  4. I have found out that if you try to knock the guts out of the ball you will have problems,I fought and fought and finally realized that you need a nice relaxed smooth stroke,it will give you the same or better distance than if you kill it..
  5. +1 Iowa,When He said BULL!@#$,I said well he done went and screwed up.France Jr. won't tolerate that,He don't want language like that to tarnish HIS image,if Tony gets a fine and a deduction for sayin B.S. that is B.S. IMHO.
  6. FINALLY! someone that has a lefty A-bolt.I got one but it is a Medallion in 7mm Weatherby mag.I had some bedding and barrel work done, and let me tell you that jasper will SHOOT.I to had a Tasco world class + but it finally took a dump after 3 seasons but here in a few weeks it will have a 10x bushnell "tacticool" HA HA sittin on top of it.Nice rig Vermont hunter.
  7. Same here, give me a shout if ya need some help,I'll be happy to give ya some advice.
  8. They are a very good bang for the buck,I had one in 22 hornet and that thing was crazy accurate, but,I was kinda dumb and traded it in for their 12ga Ultra slug Hunter and that thing is super accurate, even as accurate as most rifles.IMHO get one in either 7mm-08 or 25-06,you shouldn't even need to worry about needing a 2nd shot because those things are deadly.
  9. Nope, monsanto did a study about the amount of glyphosate type products that it takes to actually harm animals ect...your average size domesticated dog needs to ingest 10x it's bodyweight at one time to make it ill.I think the deer/fawns will notice the smell and leave it alone first.
  10. Nice rig,but it's the wrong color, should be blue. All kiddin aside tractors that size are very handy and with that loader on there it makes it even better.
  11. Churd,T-totally agree buddy,it is all about money,image,and a touch of politics.
  12. Been there.Done that, and all I got was some back sass and a basic understanding that if a deer comes from my farm over across the property line to the farm next door they are all of a sudden the neghbor's deer.I have tried to be nice for about 5yrs and last year I got into a rather heated confritation with the actual owner of the land about his so called hunters pulling ears off our corn and using them for bait piles,at that time we had no no tresspassin up,but that has changed, and the owner smugly thanked me for planting food plots ect..so HIS deer could have some winter forage.Well to make this story short,my dad and I sent him a rather nice bill to cover seed, fuel, and other cost to the properly feed HIS deer and two weeks later received a formal apology from this dude.I love to see what this season will bring
  13. Here's my take on the deal,Little E going to hendrick good choice IMHO,good team that has their stuff together,Making his announcement while he is in the running for the cup, stupid, should have done it at the tail end of the season because his step momma is goin to see that he isn't going to get the good cars ect..they are goin to go to truex who will and is now her go to guy.For the 2008 season watch for a bit of tension in the hendrick camp, that is,Jimmie,Jeff,Dale Jr. all on the same team,A LOT of a Ego's going to try their own little piece of attention at the same time,in other words,to many roosters in the hen house.Going to be interesting to see how this turns out.
  14. His name is David Allan West Jr. and pics will be posted when mommy lets me get the camera to download pics, she can't quit takin his picture..Thanks for the good wishes ya'll
  15. MY LITTLE BOY IS HERE,all 7lbs 11oz of him. Both him and momma are doin awesome and are very healthy,I am tickled to death,a future deer hunter in the makin...
  16. I use roundup pro concetrate and 24D and get awesome results, however if you use the generic glyphosate and 24D add sometype of adjuvant or what we call sticker because the generic glypro and 24D contain 0% adjuvant and they need some to stick to the leaves..
  17. You got ya one heck of a nice planter there.Me and my pop our 2 494-a's up to about 5 yrs ago,we used them to plant about 300acres of corn and beans, worked like a charm, now they are sittin in the shed, retired,we got us two 7400 J.D no tills now.If you need parts for yours let me know,we have a lot of parts for 494's we got at auction, some are still brand new.
  18. My hole set is RAM,it is the rhythym series.I got the whole set for $300 bucks.I did notice that it didn't come with a sand wedge so I bought a FX wedge.I plan on getting a new driver to replace the one I have now,I am thinking a super Quad or a R7.
  19. Not to make anyone mad,I Betcha Dale Sr. is rolling over in his grave right now..After he passed away,I could see that she was goin to be a so called reason that DEI would go down the crapper..
  20. I say either a whistle pig or a wolverine, although if it is a ground piggy,he has got some long legs, all the groundhogs around my area are shortlegged turds...
  21. 2labs has a good point about the erosion,be careful about attacking it full force, but if erosion isn't a issue rock on.I work for a weed and brush control company and do many access roads and right-of-ways and if total kill is wanted with lasting effects we go with a mix of Round-Up pro concentrate at 3qts per 100 gals of water,2-4-d amine at 2qts per 100gals,and some type of pre-emergent such as endurance, escort,at a rate of 2-8oz per 100gals,now those two are wettable powders so slurry them before dumping into tank, and we also use liquid pre-emergents like surflan and simazine at 2qts per 100gals.We usually get a 100% kill rate the first go round and a residual effect of 6-8 months but that varies due to amount of rainfall, the more heavy, frog strannglin rain you get the residual effect will be shortened.
  22. planting corn is going strong here on the eastern shore and all the ruckus is that it may be runnin almost over 4 bucks/bushel and that rocks.Corn is a pretty tough plant,a couple of light frost might hurt it a touch, but it will pull out of it.
  23. You do have a good point,I also have been a nascar fan ever since I was 10 or so,and nascar is not impressing me as of late, new rules, new cars, the overall way of their type of politics they are sadly enforcing ect...It is making the once great sport dull and hypocritical.I am tired of watching races as of late and the results are almost oddly predictable even when there are 50-100 laps left to go,take the last 6 races all hendrick dominated, now I am not busting on Jeff,Jimmie, and Kyle, all great drivers but come on what makes their cars so superior to the other 40 teams when the playing field on motors, chassies, and other mechanics are supposedly the same according to nascar? It kinda makes you think what is actually goin on.According to D.W. almost 25% of nextel cup cars run Hendrick engines, good engine program yes,but why are his 3 drivers running away and winning races almost every time?Questions with oddly enough no answers,
  24. I don't live in the mid-west,I live on the eastern shore of maryland and like you those standards fit in very well with the farmers and rural folks around here.I have to deal with those same type of whiney, well off, supposedly better than you folks all of the time, and my only advice to them is, IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT CARRY YOUR PANSY BEHINDS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
