politicans have been running the military since viet nam,telling the boys what to strike and what not to strike.I have heard many stories from my uncle who was a pilot,he said many targets that were approved weren't even considered of many military importance and many men lost their lives bombing a so called factory when it was nothing more than a abandoned warehouse,he said all of the real targets that needed bombing couldn't be attacked because that many of them had so called Ruskie advisors in the area and the politicans were to afraid of bringing them into the war,To late IMHO.The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is the same way,Lazy,overpaid pencil pushers telling people whose lives are in constant danger what to do and what not to do when they aren't the ones that are being shot at,Makes me sick.I say let's put those Turds in a uniform and see how it is and I guarrantee they would turn tail and wet their pants at the first gunshot.I say let our military do their job who cares about political correctness and what type of image it gives our country let them do their buisness,then bring them home for some time to regroup and spend time with their families,then over a time period someone or some country wants to start some crap let'em have at it.Most Politicans worry about their image and what their friends think of them,not who is risking their lives defending the country they call home.And I would like to say to all those that think it is O.K. to worry about number and think that our country should be a pushover bunch of sissies MAN UP!!!!!I live here to and I ain't no pushover and think every man and woman that is risking their lives over in the sandbox is a **** of a lot more than a american than every stuck up,butt kissin oneway celebrity/politican who doesn't respect them for the job they are doing so if you don't know what is going on there every day and aren't at the risk of being shot,SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!And for all you troops god bless and may you return to your homes and families safe,you have many americans that are behind the scenes that are more to often overlooked that support you and the jobs that you are doing...

What happened was very tragic and still has many questions that needs to be answered,the way the dems have used this to broaden thier support for their gun control campaign is really freaking disgusting.It is not the time to figure out ways of totally raping the 2nd amendment,it is time to give support to those who have lost their love ones who were not killed by the gun but by a sick freak who wanted people to suffer.IMHO the dems should lay off the gun control,and focus on the control of who can get the guns and not taking guns away from people who need/deserve them.

Re: Food plot help... friend of mine planted about 3 acres of it last year and year,soybeans did well but the corn came up very sporadicly and didn't germinate well.It is a awesome idea but it isn't a product just to go out and plant it and see what results you get,it would be a good idea to seperate the corn from the beans and if you can plant each in its own row for example take a four row planter and run two hoppers corn and two hoppers beans and go from there,but that is going to be time consuming and pricey but should work great.

Re: Planting corn I have a good idea for ya that I have tried and worked very well.I don't usually plant 5 acre plots but on my bigger plots I planted winter wheat and turnips mixed but l early on I planted 4-6 rows of corn around the perimiter and left a opening on one side just big enough to get equipment through.I then plant the wheat/turnips inside of the walls'O'corn man it turned out to be a deer magnet with plenty of food between the standing corn and green stuff while being somewhat of a sanctuary.It made the deer feel so secure that many of them didn't even bother to pick thier heads up to look around,they just ate till they got good and full,give that a try it sure did work for me...

I think many brands of seed work really well,have heard some negative things about biomaxx though.contact your local extension office about soil test,they will be very helpful.Don't be down about your lack of equipment.I have loads of equipment and stuff to use,and although it makes it easier,I some times would rather use the good ole back breakin stuff,I have gotten as good or better results using a hand seedr and a rake compared to a 60hp tractor and a no-till drill,**** if it works for you rock on and once you shoot that big booner buck you won't even pay attention to those callused hands you got from all that rakin you done to draw him in and make him fat..Good luck to ya!!

Re: Your QDM plan Sorry,had a brain fart and went totally off topic,ususally 4-5plots between1-1.5 acres on 4 seperate farms we own.I plant iornclay cowpeas,a 85 day corn for summer and fall,and leave corn standing in winter.In mid fall I usually plant winter wheat/oats and turnups/brassicas for food through winter.This year I might give sugarbeats a try..

Re: Your QDM plan Hard to really manage deer in my area,I pass up the small bucks and does but the yahoo's that hunt next door will shoot anything brown on 4 legs.I took my stepson hunting for the first time last year,kinda slow evening and saw a maybe 60lb buttn buck at dusk and my stepson said there's one.I told him he needs to grow some more and we would let the little guy go,Low and behold as soon as that little guy crossed the property line,BAM,the buttheads next door busted him,my stepson asked why the guy shot him,I calmly said the guy next door is a ****...

Couldn't do the football thing in H.S. cause of a knee injury from jumping from tractor to ground,Who uses those silly narrow steps??????,so I played ball when my grades would allow it.Then after graduation I played men's softball and loved it,until I tore both ligaments in my already IFFY knee tried playin again a couple years after it was supposedly healed and guess what?caused me to miss bow season and early muzzleloader,and my shotty knee still isn't quite right...
