  1. We've been out walking at the lake the last several nights, and the deer have been pretty consistent- seeing many small fawns, only a few larger does. I have a two year old that's excited to see them each night, and I'm getting pumped to be in a tree bearing down on em.
  2. We were out at the lake tonight for a walk, we saw a couple of does and a small spike like your pic. My 23 month old was excited to see them, have a bow in his hand soon!
  3. I have a Mossberg 835 Ultimag- has slug barrel and field barrel w/ turkey choke. Have scope that could go with it. Will shoot 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 shells/slugs. In great shape, rarely used.
  4. I bought a Bowtech Guardian after the season, and have been shooting it with the Hostage rest on it- a modified and greatly improved version of the whisker biscuit. Holds the arrow in firm in all positions.
  5. I would go between blue and green 3 & 4. Otherwise jump on his back and drag him down...
  6. If you look close enough under the horizontal adjustment bar, you'll see the cord. I've put the hostage rest on my new Bowtech which is basically the same thing without the drop away portion- it's a great upgrade to the whisker biscuit.

  9. As times continue to be uncertain, I am applying for jobs in Illinois around Joliet/ Chicago burbs or Peoria. Anyone share how the hunting is around these areas? It would kill me to move away from the great Iowa hunting, hoping there's some good timber outside of the burbs.

  15. I bought myself a used Bowtech Guardian off e-bay for Christmas. Saturday, I went and picked it up from our local archery shop with all the goodies put on it. Since it was about 15 below, I was able to shoot it at his indoor range. Let's just say it shot great. Just after setting everything on, it's shooting in 2" groups or less! Smooth and fast. I can't wait to get it outside once it's warmer, and back in the stand!:D:D
  16. Bought a Bowtech Guardian, its at the shop now getting G5 peep, Truglo sights, Hostage rest installed on it now... can't wait to get to shoot it!
  17. So far I've preferred a whisker biscuit over the Nap Quicktune 1000 I've had. I'm about to put a Hostage on my new bow.
  18. Bow is still for Sale, $150 or best offer. If no responses by middle of next week it'll be sold to Scheels for the cash.
  19. I hadn't planned on it, but if my new bow arrives and won't fit we can arrange for it. I'd have to see what it's worth- think it was $35-40 new.
