I just dont like being painted with the same brush as him as a hunter. On his last show, it was michian gun opener & he piled up a buck & 3 does right back to back with a slug gun out of a blind with a dead rest like he is a mighty hunter of some kind. It resembeled killing deer on a shooting range more than hunting to me. I have seen him make some real good comments about our troops, but on the whole he maks me sick.

He made a pretty rotton comment today to a little boy about staying away from fat girls....kinda yanked my chain.

I just got done watching an episode of spirit of the wild on the outdoor channel. Just kinda wondering what all of your oppinionsare in ted & his show?

I sure have nothing against shooting a doe, but i would think if you are seeing tons of does you would get the chance to shoot a pair of bucks.... I sure wish I could have 2 buck tags.

Does anyone have any experience in training bloodtrailing dogs?? its not legal (currently) here in Pa., but it is closeby in New York, & I dont think it would be illegal totrain my dog here in Pa. Anyway I bought my daughter a bloodhound last year cause she was craving a hound dog, & I would like to trail it to boodtrail, & could use some pointers. I saved all the blood , lungs, hearts & livers out of 4 deer in the freezer( wife not happy:)) Any tips??

I agree with Illinois.If you dont get a low exit in front of the diaphram you can get a crappy trail with any head. A muscle wound tends to leave a good trail , that peters out shortly & with a gut shot commonly the stomach will cover the exit & leave no blood trail.

Your eye will automaticly enter the pin in the peep....generally for hunting purposes,bigger is is better, as long as you dont get ridiculous. its more important for you to have a clear view if your target than your sight.......lots of practice on your form in the off season & auto pilot takes over on the peep & pin.

There are several instances in th Bible where God changes his own mind or at least relents from a punishment that he has decreed. 1 example would be some of the times that Moses prayed on behalf of the Israelites for God not to give them whatever punishment they deserve & God had decreed at that time & God relented. Another instance would be where Satan was testing Job & God set the limitations Satan was allowed to do to Job later after Listening to Satan , he changed the limitations Satan was allowed to do to Job. Question is... do you think God would decree gloom & doom over Israel knowing all along that Moses was going to pray for the Israelites & He was going to relent????and so on.

use a dog I set my laser at waist height at 20 feet with good luck.try hanging your camera in the yard & let a good sized dog play around in the target area & see how your camera works:)

dont overhunt Dont overhunt your stand site- it cost me this year & I didnt figure it out till late in season. I didnt sit the same stand very often, but i definitely pressured the deer too much by scouting & hunting new stands closeby to the old ones. I was just too obsessed with hunting this 1 particular big buck. once I started moving to different blocks, I started seeing deer again.

Grizz, unless your bow is shooting 600 fps, if you are sighted in at 25 yards, it will be more than 2 inches low at 40??????

That deer was given grace by God that it lives in Iowa instead of pennsylvania......he was a shooter here last year:D

I probably would have shot it too but gotta wonder what was wrong with it & if it was really fit to eat??? Maybe turned it in to game commission & got issued a new tag.

Ive been thinking of the money spent by bowhunters buying bowhunting magazines in hope of picking up that good tip that might make the difference inharvesting that buck or not, I thought maybe if we each share our favorite tip we could all benefit from each other??? #1 Never shoot a moving animal if you can stop it with a soft mouth grunt, but under no circumstances should you grunt before you are at full draw & prepared to shoot as that deer will psot you drawing & turn itself inside out when you release.

Outdoor 338- I ahve been heading to Co. to hunt elk about every other year since 1990. hunted Craig area once & meeker once- been hunting in the southwest near Doloresabout a half zen times- mostly with a bow. I have taken deer & antelope, but still waiting for an elk. I dont know what the deal is with the elk. I hunt hard & am in a good area( several of my group have gotten them). I just cant seem to get it done. Have a good one. Lane

My season has been looooooong & interesting. I have a 13 year old son who is starting this year, & I have spent most of my season trying to hsow him a deer ...what a challenge:) but fun too. his accuracy range is about 15 yards, so i wasnt surprised when he missed the doe @ 25, but i was some surprised when he missed the buck @ 8yards. We spent a lot of time out there getting skunked & both him & the wife have hung in there better than expected. anyway, I took the last weekof season off work to hunt with 2 buddies from Maine who come down & hunt with me every year. I have been saving my tag all year hoping for a crack at the BIG one, but during this last week of archery this guy came y on a bad , cold snowy day & caught me in just the wrong frame of mind to get a free pass . I dont know how to post a pic, but I am hoping Buckee will stick a couple in for me- Lane LAST YEAR'S BUCK "Here is one more pic of the guys from maine & me last year."

sell it Ihave seen no benefit to hunting with scent control clohting whatsoever- although someone had a real good idea there to make themselves rich. Take a shower before you hunt, play the wind as much as you can & hope for the best. Lane
