I would say probably all 100 are something not nessecary for life...ie something we could probably do without but by now we probably dont think so.

I tagged out in archery season & have been hunting hard with my 13 year old son & 12 year old daughter for rifle season. I have been trying to instill the habit in them of praying before we leave the house or truck in the mornings to ask the Lords blessings & safety on our hunt. This morning me , my kids & my brother were a half mile from the truck & my daughter stopped me cold. "Dad we forgot to pray this morning". She prayed for our hunt then & there. the hunting stunk today, but my day was still a success.

Glad to find someone else finding the ame thing as meon the urine thing- I learned long ago the smell doesent bother them a bit. I did have to go bad one night about the time 2 does came in that I wasnt gonna shootanywy so after what seemed like an eternity I just took my leak on the dry leaves when they were about 20 yds out....now that kinda had a spookin effect on them :D

Dang deer have an amazing ability to survive something that would kill you or me.....as for 1 lung, if you were on the ground, shooting ata broadside deer, it is almost impossible to hit only 1 lung.

Its pretty much impossible to know where you hit the deer at this point, but i have been on some trails similar to yours. I think then you came to the last puddle where he stopped, usually what happens is the deer stops & licks the wound therefore no more blood on the ground for quite a spell if any more period. almost always I have not recovered the deer on a trai like that. sorry. Lane

I was at a bowshoot on a Sunday a couple years back & an amish guy had his buggy parked back in the alley away from everything- I thought "strange". Pretty soon I see him coming down the block in a yankee coat with the collar up & his hat pulled down & a 6 pack under is arm. I purty near laughed to death

I bet theres a lot of long faces in Pa today. Everyone looks foreward to gunopener & the weather was just plain lousy, & the only 2 deer left in the state werent moving.

I work outside everyday & I find it hard to beat loose denim jeans over a pair of sweat pants

Landowners find deer into the dozens in my neck of the woods that are shot at night every year with the heads cut off & the rest left to rot. Rumor has it there is a big money pre-season buck pool around here. Now dont that just fry you??

Those pics were taken in the velvet, & from the size of his horns, if he is 2-1/2 probably late spring. he may be fat as a pig now......it wouldnt be uncommon for him to be run down after surviving a winter.

Sure would be a boring world if we all thought & acted the same....the only thing worse would be if oyu all thought & acted like me:D:D:D

at this point wait for daylight for sure. I wish you the best, but to be honest-white hair, no good blod trail & fat on the arrow are not encouraging.Ive hit them in the brisket before with those results. keep us posted & good luck

Finn- you are not reading what I wrote!!! I dont particularly care how any of the pro hunters are coming across to the antis. They got thier opinnions & arent gonna change their minds. In more concerned with the folks out there who arent allready against us.....

Darton akes a nice kids bow- just change the modules on the cam for different draw lengths. My boy is shooting one & we have had good luck with it.

Dang Coyote- thats what I was tryin to say, but Im not so good with words... It really doesnt matter how old Uncle ted is coming across to hunters or anti hunters either for that matter. Their minds are both allready made up & not likel;y to change. The question is. how is his BS coming across to nonhunters?? I'm thinkin he is doin us more harm than good.

something to think about........just because a small buck is breeding instead of an older bigger buck doesnt effect the gene pool in any way. Age doesnt make good genetics otherwise I would be a mighty fine specimen:D:D

IMO theres nothing wrong with using a rest or in tagging out, but I personally couldnt see any more "fair chase " going on in that show than sticking a spotlight out the window & throwing a sandbag on the hood & mowing them down. You had to look over the dead bodies of the first couple deer to see him shoot the latter ones- now old unkle ted can talk all he wants about gettin them backstraps, but i highy doubt he is abe to eat much of them.
