Just curious, what time do you guys usually pack it in during an afternoon hunt? Do you leave right at legal shooting light, or do you wait till it gets real dark? I realize that there are a few different variables, but in general what do you normally do and your reasons why. I was just thinking about this as I walked out of the woods tonight and was just curious.

Why must we always look to the government to be our sole provider for everything? The federal government was not developed to be an owner of vast amounts of real estate. To rely on the government to provide areas to hunt and fish is completely irrational. Where are they going to get $900 million anyway? We are broke! Nothing personal, but the government cannot be trusted....the article says "Congress, however, has consistently diverted these funds from their intended purposes of acquiring critical fish and wildlife habitat and sustaining public access." What makes you think they will all of the sudden start towing the line? Get government out of the way and let the private sector handle it. My .02.

Freak nasty all the way! I hope you have an opportunity next year!

Very nice buck! Hope you are successful this year!

I would love one too, but havent found it either. Is Waddell going to do the Road Trips show anymore since Bone Collectors started? Maybe that is why they aren't making it anymore. Scentblocker did just come out with a line of SB Bone Collector series of clothes. Stuff is nice, probably could get it in Max 1. Let me know if you find one.

First Buck Ever and First Deer With a Bow!!!

Shot my first buck ever (and first deer with a bow) on Thanksgiving (Nov. 27, 2008) taxidermist came and caped him out on Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2008) and I picked the finished product up Thursday (Jan. 1,2009). It took him a month! And it wasn't because he didn't have anything to do. He probably had 400 sets of just deer antlers in his shop. Everyone can't believe I got it back in a month. He is located in north Florida (Havana), Beaver's Taxidermy Studio. He did a fantastic job! First time I used him. Jimmy Beaver is the man!

WOW! If it was wounded by a poacher then that is really a waste and that makes me mad. If he died of natural causes I tip my hat to him for the good, long life that he lived, because I'm sure he gave a few hunters buck fever during his life. He is a true monarch. Congrats to the guy who found him. I would love to be in his shoes! The trail camera pics of him are something to behold.

I have a friend that has a processing building behind his warehouse. I have been helping them all year. He started it for him and a few friends. It is nice, we hang the deer anywhere from 2-3 wks then process them. We have 6 guys that work the operation. It is alot of fun. Guys that have deer needing to be processed come about 5 in the evening and skin their deer and wait till it is done. Lot of stories go around. Going to clean tonight! We charge $55 to process and hang the deer. $20 if you want us to skin the deer.

I love my Guardian too! I have owned two bows, since I started bow hunting and they both have been Bowtechs. Since I put a scizzor rest on there I love it even more! Happy shooting! James

Got him on Thanksgiving morning in Grady County, GA (about 30 minutes north of the Florida line), at 8 AM, with a bow at 20 yards. He went 80 yards after the shot. Measuring wise he is an 11-pt. (He has 2 stickers off his base that don't meet the 1" minimum requirement.) Inside spread 17 6/8". Unofficial gross score is right at 130 3/8". He weighted 225 lbs. on the hoof. Aged him at 4.5 years old. First buck ever and first deer with a bow.:D:D When we processed him he had the top of his backbone broken(inside the body cavity was intact) and when we were cutting around it we found a bullet fragment.(Land owner's sis-n-law shot at a big last year and knock it down but it got back up and ran off and they never found it.) He also had also had a broken leg at one time because his leg had a big bulge were it had healed. I passed up going fishing on St. George island with my wife's family to go hunting...guess I made a good call. I already have the mount back, but don't have the pictures on the computer yet. I will send them when I upload them. James Wilkinson

Since when are we supposed to be liberating other countries? That it is not our job. Many lives have been lost and billions of dollars spent on a power grabbing, money hungry, socalist, globalist scheme, they call a war. People that still think we need to liberate other countries need to watch the president in the "shoes" throwing speech. They don't want us there, we are doing no good. I always pose this question to people that believe we should be liberating..."Do you want someone like China over here telling us how many babies to have, or murdering people because they don't fit the mold that they want?" People are usually speechless or the start rambling down another rabbit trail. James Wilkinson Ron Paul Was Right
