Hoosier Hunter

My favorite is spring turkey huntin.

The score is in! The kid shot it with his 410.The net score was 223 and the gross score was 229 5/8. It made the hoosier record book and will be in the all-time boone and crockett record book. The deer will be at the Indiana deer and Turkey expo Feb.16 and 17 in Indianapolis. They are putting it on the wall with some other big deer to showcase them.

I haven't had a great season. I missed a little 8-point. I have watched two nice bucks get killed. My Dad's nice 8 and my Grandpa's 9. I have passed on some deer. But now if it's brown it's down.

We had no idea this big boy was around here. After the buck was shot, they said they have a shed of it from the previuos year.The kid's Mom said he still can't sleep.

This is a 10 year olds first deer. He got it across the road from our house. The buck had thirty scoreable points. When I find out what it scored I will post it.

Cool drop tine. Never saw a mount that looks like the last one. I guess they are part of it's legs.
