  1. i ot the QAD Hunter rest last week. and for fifty bucks i am totally impressed. i would suggest that one
  2. Not bad, not bad at all. congrats hope there are many more
  3. Well I started out this season hunting with those G5 Tekans but I was totaly not impressed with them, I'm not sayin they are bad by anymeans, they fly dead on field points. I went back to using my stinger's cause they go through bone alot better than the mechanicals i was using.
  4. Oh I think I got one a little better (well i really feel like crap though). It was like two weeks ago. We had a really cold morning and in the stand i was, I called my wife to wake her up around 7:15 and at 7:30 i was watching these two squirrels playin above me when I happen to look down at a really nice ten point bruiser of a buck taking his morning dump. After doing his thing he walked behind a little thicket which gave me the chance to stand up and get ready, he came out from the thicket i drew back he stops and dosent even know whats going on, i release all i heard was a loud crack and see ya later never found the deer. Come to find out after talking to my brother the broadheads I was using werent the best for busting through bones in his experience. :bang:
  5. thats what im talkin about cause the attachment to the 360 will not cost that much in comparison to the big fancy machine, but with all the things that this new attachment offers. voice, facial, and equipment recognition. i think it would be cool to have my own equipment in a video game.
  6. well im not that much into the games anymore. but i just think it would be a really cool tool to use in the off season and it could bring other people into the tradition we love.
  7. I was thinking the other day about those bow hunting games that cost like a few thousand dollers when I was on my xbox a saw that Microsoft was developing a new attachment for their game system that could be something us bowhunters could use to keep us up to par during the spring and summer. To see what I'm talking about go to the xbox website and check out project Natel I think it's called that. There is to many this about this for me to list but it looks promising to say the least, and maybe the realtree guys could get involved with developing a bowhunting game for this platform
  8. sorry sorry guys but the birds didn't fall for me this year. ubt it wasn't from a lack of effort though i hope everyone else has some luck
  9. no luck yet i tell yall what i got a better chance havin the moon fall outta the sky and land on me than have a tom get in my sights. i hope yall are or will have better luck than me
  10. dag on yotes ok well i went back out this morning and i did not have that extra cup of coffee (lol) i got set up about the time the sun popped out and i was all over the toms had one struttin down the creek bank within no time and about the time i put the pin on him i spot a yote out of the corner of my eye and it just wrecked the whole hunt but i got one of those yotes though so maybe they'll stay away next weekend.
  11. shucks well this morning was going really good. located three in the roost but i had waited just a hair too long before entering the woods. and im kickin myself in the butt for drinking that last cup of coffee cause i bet i could have tagged out this morning. well i'll just try again tomarrow

  13. hey all got awsome news, my wife just kicked my son outta her tummy and into the world last thursday and he is an awsome little guy. i hope this link will work cause i haven't tried it yet. and even better news is that ever since he's been home he can't take his little blue eyes off my bow so that might show some promise there. http://babycentral.centralbap.com/de...sp?group=45398
  14. if yall want to you can send my wife a message on the link.

  16. just checkin in with the team. hmm i think our season starts the first weekend of april and runs into the second weekend of may but don't quote me on it. i'll be be hunting with my bow this year but will switch to the ol shotgun if it comes down to it, seen a few great toms on the property during deer season and i hope that they are still hangin around this spring
  17. a guy that works with my brother took us bear hunting in north carolina about nine years ago. and it ranks up there with whitetail hunting except when it takes three arrows and four shots froms a 30-06 to take em down, that was the only drawback to bear hunting, pretty sure they aren't all like that but i can't complain because it was a rush and a half. i hope your trip is awsome cause it is, and yeah watch the bugs cause they carry tags of their own.
  18. yeah it is a great problem to have, i got her into hunting three years ago and she is a natural at it. i took her to sportsmans warehouse last weekend and she fell in love whith the the micro midas so i got a new bowhunter to train. this should be easy i hope.
  19. i figured Tenn would be as strict as other states i know i KY they practically crucify you if you poach, one of my friends will tell you he got caught shooting from the road and they took everything gun, truck, fine, and denied him hunting rights for god knows how long.
  20. im a cheap redneck cause after shoot that fool up i would put it on my taxes and have the feds pay me back for ammo used
  21. i don't know what level your pond has to be before you can stack but i can give you an idea about stockin. our property already had a pond on it so my experiance was alittle tougher than yours will be, but i actually got the kdfw to help me actually restock my pond becase whoever owned it before let it go to crap, and it took alot of work to get ti squared away (proper Ph levels, alge levels in an acceptable range cause to much alge will kill the frys) anyway after all that mess then then they actually gave me the fish (no joke they gave me the fish) i can't remember the exact numbers but it was like 200 bluegills, bass, and channel cats. 150 crappie 100 blue and shovelhead catfish and 50 carp. that was year one and for three summers i'd call them and we would meet up and they had a set number of fish for those years and let me tell you after five years of good fish managment i got an awsome place to fish and really was almost free but for the work we put into claring out the pond which is roughly 1.5/2 acres. If you want a quality fishing hole start from scratch cause you'll have better fish numbers across the board insted of having all the fish caught and released in your pond eating all your frys.
  22. all good choices might i saybut i think im gonna go with the browning for the ol lady (kinda partial to a browning) thanks for the advice guys
  23. I've be told alot of things on this subject also and its kinda rackin the ol grey matter so just to be on the safe side i've always stayed out as long as i could and just find the deer. but ive found all but one deer this way, now sayin that, the one buck i found after the meat went bad. my dad cut it up for catfish bait, i don't know why but it is good bait if your are juggin
