  1. Congratulations on your finds. Nice to find them both.
  2. Very cool buck. I agree it is better to find him than not to know why he disappeared. You may never know how he died. Maybe old age, accident or predation. It's a tough life out in the woods and coyotes love them or hate them, they have to eat too. Congratulations on a great find. At least you can always enjoy him and have the memories.
  3. Just got back from the Circle M antler auction in Iowa and they had a shed like that in a booth. I think he called it a shared base shed. He told me they have a category for this in the record books and his was number 4 in the world. Yours look bigger than the one he had, so it may go high in the record book. I don't know if there is a category or not, I am just relaying information. It may be worth looking into. Maybe someone else can confirm this. Great find, Congratulations. I'm sure it's a pretty rare find.
  4. Great suggestion. Nice looking bird.
  5. Look great Buckxlimp. Thanks for the kind words.
  6. Love that big bladed brow tine. Great finds, thanks for posting.
  7. Love that bib bladed brow tine. Great finds, thanks for sharing.
  8. Thanks for checking out my product and the great reply's. I really appreciate it.
  9. I have invented a new product for shed hunters and shed collectors. My wife has created a web site for this, and my two hunting buddies have helped me get this off the ground. I would like to introduce this product to the folks on the forums. I am a building and grounds worker who made something for my own use and started getting requests from shed hunters who have seen this. It is an antler display system. It displays your shed on the wall without holes or damage to the shed antler. You can remove and return your shed to the holder in seconds. I call it the Shedbed TM. Please check out my website to view my Youtube video. Let me know what you think. I really appreciate your opinion and feedback. http://www.antleritis.com Thanks for allowing me an introduction on this forum. After this post I will only keep a link in my signature. I understand this forum is not for advertising.

I would like to introduce this product to the folks on the forums however I don't know the rules for posting on this subject. I am just a building and grounds worker who made something for my own use and started getting requests from shed hunters who have seen this. I am not a professional business man. I understand this is not a sales or marketing arena, however I sure would like folks to check out my web site and get the feedback from the dedicated shed hunters on this forum. If someone could advise me on this I would appreciate and follow all rules. Thank you, Jim
  11. Way to go on your finds, congrats.
  12. I find about 20 sheds a year with maybe three matched sets. Some sheds can be very difficult to see based on where they drop. Tall grass, cattail swamps, even heavy blow down areas and you can walk right by a shed at five yards and never see it. Also I have seen a coyote carrying a shed once. In fact the Cuddieback website had a picture of a coyote with a shed a couple weeks ago.
  13. Pictures and sheds, good deal. Congratulations on your finds.

    sheds

Same here in central Minnesota. Snow, and more snow.
  15. Great sheds. I'm sure all of us have stopped shed hunting 30 yards short of some sheds. You just found out about them. Sometimes it's better not to know.
  16. real nice looking shed. Great find, congratulations.
  17. Wow, great day. Congrats on all your finds. Hope you didn't pull a hamstring hauling them around.
  18. Congratulations. All sheds are great finds especially a matched set.
  19. Nice finds. Glad you found him. The antlers on the buck you shot look like they are in great shape. They still have color and the squirrels didn't chew them up yet.
  20. Great looking birds. He brings them to life. I really like the mallard. My taxidermist like's to joke: if you pay off the taxidermist in full early it takes longer to get your stuff back. He's got your money now he has no incentive to work for you. He will only take 50% up front as this gives him the incentive to get stuff done on time and get paid.
  21. Great looking buck, I'm a big fan of dark chocolate racks. Congratulations.
  22. I use the true talker grunt call. Best used after the first does have been bred. I do a tending grunt sequence. A quick series of short grunts one after another. This imitates a buck tending a doe and I have had great results with buck's running in to see what's up. Once they have had a taste of the rut they can't help but want more. I don't use any scent at all but try to be as scent free as I can and always play the wind.
  23. He's got points, mass, looks like a nice spread and beam length. Great buck. I think he will go high 150's as a 4 1/2 year old. I'd love to see him from my stand.

    He survived

I think wtnhunt said it all. I agree with his conclusion. High 130's on a 4 year old deer.
  25. Love them nontypicals. Great find, now hunt up the match. Good luck.
