Well i went out today and got my first buck with my new T/C :gun2: Shot it at 35 yards running.

Has any1 shot a 7mm-08? How is the kick? Im wanting to get my boy hes 10 a gun that he can shoot now that dont kick and will be ok for later. I reload so i think i can start out low so the kick wont be to bad and work it up as he gets older. I read you can get close to a 7mm mag. out of it so i know it will be a good caliber. Why im looking at this caliber is i will be getting me a 7mm mag barrel for my T/C and i will be able to use the same bullets when reloading. Thanks for any info

My vote was for the .300 Weatherby i hand load my own and 0 in at 100yds i have a 5" drop at 300yds with a 168g bullet . A deer is not safe out 2 350yds:2guns:

She shot this deer out of my stand:hammer2: lol no i put her there to get a shot at a good buck why i took me son to a spot that i thought would have a better chance of getting a shot. I really wanted to put him there but it is thick and longer shots. It ended up working out great she kills a good buck and he kills his first. Now shes trying to take over my stand :angry:

Guys does any1 know what is the going rate for leased land in Ohio is? I have a friend thats leases 500 acres 400 crop and 100 clear cut and they are paying $8.00 acre. That sounds a little high to me that they pay $4,500.00 to hunt on around 70 acre of the 500. Thanks for any info P.S if you know any1 that has land to lease im looking. :angel1:

I was more tore up then he was or then if i was shooting at a booner.

Guy it will kill deer at close range. After killing is doe with 50g i got some 30g tablets and put 2 in to make 60g so the kick wont be to much and told him he had to hit the shoulder blade to make the bullet open up and i dont think i would have been able to hit it any better. Before he killed this buck he had the chance to kill a spike,3 point and a wide 6 point that had broke 1 side off and each time i told him it was ok for him to shot 1 of them he told me he wanted to let them get bigger. I am so proud 2 have been with him on this hunt and to see he is willing to go home with out killing 1. He knows he will have better bucks to kill down the road.

The way she was standing the bullet went in in front of the shoulder and hit her back bone and did pretty good damage to the in side. I am going to see if the kick is not to bad at 80gr to be sure but it looks like 50 will do at close range. Guy i know we were going to be shooting no more then 30 yards anything past that i dont know if 50gr would do it or not. She didnt go 30 yard and fell over.

My 9 year old boy killed this doe today his 1st. Shot it him self.

Thanks guys for the input and the load will kill a deer because my boy killed his 1st doe today with it. Now its not my T/C its ours LOL

I have a .45 CVA mag. and it does pretty good. I have shot it up to 200 yards with 150g powder and 195g powerbellet and not a hole lot of drop. Only have killed 1 deer with it and it did the job.

Would 50gn 1 777 pellet and 250gn bullet out of my T/C 50 at 0 to 50 yards kill a deer? Im going to take my boy out sat. to try and get his 1st deer. We will only be shooting about 30 yards and i all ready shot the gun at 50 yards and it there with little kick.

Ive had many muzzleloaders over the years and thought i had the best my CVA 45 mag. dont take me wrong it shoots good but never had it 2 shoot a group like my newest 1 T/C Encore 50 mag. In the pic you will see i shot it 3 time right out of the box. Bore sighted it 1st shot at 50YDs in the leg moved my scope to the hole 2 shot at top bulls eye 50YDs green its there 3 shot top bulls eye at 100YDs :smoke: Pink so i put it up now cant wait till i get a big buck in front of it. The load was 150Gr 777 and T/C Shock Wave Super Glide Sabots .50 250Gr Spire Point

Here in WV i think its going to be early. We have seen bucks chasing all kinds on scrapes and rubs

There are 1s that like mounting and 1s doing it for money. $275 should be the price and if you work hard and like doing it you will do fine or charge $500 and be lazy and make the same.

I have land and will let some1 turkey hunt but wont let them deer hunt. Thats because i deer hunt and dont turkey hunt so can you see why they might let you turkey hunt if none of them do but they love deer hunting.
