I'm having a chest mount completed on the buck I took this season.
I asked the taxidermist to save the skull of my deer this year so i could have the teeth examined to determine the age. I'd like to keep the jaw bones (perhaps the whole skull minus the antlers would be easier)?
I'm picking up the skull tomorrow (frozen) and was wondering what you all would recommend?
I'd rather not use the beatles I've heard of, boiling sounds like the way to go? Is there a solution that is needed or will plain old water work fine? About how long would I anticipate letting it boil?
Thanks,
Frank
