...wow, guys.....:):) -Thankyou so much for these wonderful birthday wishes! -This makes me feel really special.... -I was hoping to lay low for the 40th- lol-- guess there was no way around it- -I actually was not feeling very well yesterday; some sort of stomach bug, or something- or, maybe I just ate too much turkey and eggs on Easter Sunday-lol- -we celebrated my b-day Sunday as well (good thing);- here is a picture of the cake the kids got me...and beautiful cards,a bottle of wine, a jar of garlic-stuffed olives(I just LOVE those things!) and- - Terry got me a dozen yellow roses...- (yellow rose of Texas-)- -and, I was surprized with some Muzzy broadheads...and a whisker biscuit for my bow! -it was a great family day.... -and thankyou, Jim- and that bear cartoon is priceless!-lol-

- these are great stories! -and very true of the real friendship and commeraderie... -kind of hard to explain to another person- -a special place here; where we can be sometimes so different, yet a close and caring family- -yeah, Joe- I had to endure several weeks of questions from Terry last year, after you sent the bottles of your red vino up to us...-took him a while, and a lot of explaining ,why some guy from New York was sending me bottles of wine that said "Hornybuck Lodge" on the labels...-lol- -btw...-it was worth it- your family makes awesome wine-

-upside down pic, lol- -I can't believe I haven't posted any pics of her yet in here- -I wanted to do this last Nov- -here are some pictures- they really don't do her justice- -I need to learn how to take decent pictures of a rifle... -anyway- at least for now- she is a .358 Norma mag rechambered from a .35 Whelan on a 1903 Springfield action- -re-barreled-Douglas barrel; Griffen and Howe quick release side mount- -I have shot it a few times with the peep sight- only a FEW- I was running out of rounds...and we had not gotten the dyes yet to reload(they arrived a month and a half ago, though-) ....ps-THANKYOU JJL for ordering me the .358 ammo from Midway to your house last fall! -I replaced the older Lymen American 4x and put a Leopold 2.5-7x on her- -she went with on the elk hunt to Colorado last Nov- -great rifle, not as much recoil as I thought she would be...-I need to get used to the longer pull on the action- -I found her at a gun show last fall -she had been used for 30 years up here by a brown bear guide-(and he was origionally from Colorado- he was the #3 sillouette target champion there, years ago-) -anyway...-I've had my eye on that gun for 2 years now- -doesn't make sense to get something that I can't buy ammo for , up here...-but- once in a while we all something that doesn't make sense...-lol-:rolleyes: -I will take some better , less fuzzy pictures, soon- -can someone advise me on some tips on taking pics of rifles?-flash , lighting,etc??
