    Peeps

Tubeless peeps can be a pain sometimes. I have to train the bowstring to creep the peep into position. All depends on the quality of strings you buy. Tube style is pretty fail safe. Just remember, Murphy's Law is amplified when your alone in the woods.
  3. That's pretty spendy for a dozen of arrows.
  4. I'd definately go with a new set of strings. Welcome to Realtree By the way !!! Jut make sure whoever does them gets the cams timed and sync'd. Putting just strings on is half the job.
  5. Needs to work on her vertical stance. She's lazy in the right leg. Obvious her draw length is too long. Stand so both feet equalize her weight at shoulder width apart.
  6. Both caliper style heads on them. I couldn't get the hang of these so i'm selling them for a steal. $ 100.00 each plus shipping. These are brand new out of the package with about enough shots on them to get the adjustments right. E-mail me [email protected] or call me...1-775-761-0550 (cell) 1-775-635-9062 (home)
  7. When I bought my Vectrix XL there about a year ago, they were all over in the bargain cave, I asked the guy that same question. I was informed that they had been selling them for years. Long ago they sold them before deciding no Big Box Store can carry them. They kinds got "Grandfathered" into the deal. I believe there are 4 stores total that sell the Hoyt brand. Trust me, I about fell over when I saw them all. $549.00 for a brand new Vectrix XL a year ago.
  8. Iowa landowners permit is for the land owner only. Landowners hunting liscense is for him only also. The non-resident fee isn't that bad.
  9. Depends on what bow i'm carrying afield. Muzzy 100gr. 3-blade for my Vectrix XL, Rocket Ultimate steel 100gr for my AM35. Them little suckers fly like bullets at 300+ FPS.
  10. I'm still runnin' the original string on my Xtec. All depends on how it's stored and how you take care of them. If you've ever tackled setting your cam sync and draw stop timing on a hybrid cam setup, and your good at it, then string away.
  11. Wonder how that works on chapped lips ??? LOL
  12. That is overpriced for what it is or does. Looks like an Apex knock off.
  13. Your wrong there hutchies.....308-254-7889 is the phone number to Cabelas in Sidney NE. Call them for a price on their Hoyt's. There is two Cabelas in WI. that sells them too.
  14. ...had to learn the hard way and I guess the only way. Even though they are small tools for the trade. DON'T be cheap. Here's what a cheap peep sight did to a $100.00 string. The peep sight is made in a hot injection mold. Where the plastic is fed into the mold has to be filed smooth. Slight overlook on my part. I know better. That's what gets me. Over a period of 6 months, not alot of shooting done with this bow, but I did get it out and shoot it. Then I saw some fraying. Few more shots, then a whole lot of fraying. Put the bow in my press and took the string off for further inspection. Injection mold remnants rubbed through one strand of my string and made her useless. Keep these grooves free and clear. I learned a hard lesson.
  15. I agree with Tony, shoot your hunting setup. From there if it's not what you are looking for, it will give you an idea of what you really want. I myself or anyone as far as that goes, can't tell you what you need. Go to a couple shoots, make some new friends and bring up this question to them. I'm sure, almost guarantee, they will say here, try this one.
  16. I believe it won't effect the static spine, but the dynamic spine in flight. I think it would be so minute, wouldn't bother with it. Only if shooting really long distances.....100 yards, but who's gonna be doing that. Mostly calculated for traditional equipment. I did find a dynamic spine calculator for this, but string options were d-50 or fastflight. Both used in traditional equipment. i'm not going to persue this...waste of time for what it's worth. Thanks for the offer though. Good Shooting !!! Mike
  17. I do have a 10% FOC and my arrows fry great. I did try and look for a dynamic spine calculator online, but found one that is Excel oriented and didn't work worth a hoot. Most of the dynamic spine issues relate to mostly traditional shooters. Was wondering also if some or alot of target shooters take dynamic spine seriously ??
  18. How much does an arrow wrap affect the dynamic spine of an arrow shaft lets say out to 50 yards ??? Wrap weight being 8 grains.
  19. 60-70lbs, 30-32.5 draw, Cam and a half, XT3000 limbs, Winners Choice strings (silver and blue)(3 months old) Chip in the clear coat on the lower limb from ProPod.(there when I bought it) Shoots bullet holes. I'm going to rate this bow 9 out of 10, 10 being new. I need to get 500.00 out of it. PM me if interested. Send me e-mail address if you want pics.
  20. I think a person would have better luck trying to wash cats. Whoever takes this on is one brave soul !!!
