    I hate

I hate - knowing that I am very easily found because of my cell phone. So last night I turned it off. This morning I left it at home and it has so far been an awesome day! I am curious has to how many missed calls, emails and text I will have waiting on me as well as how many people are annoyed or mad because I am "ignoring" them by not returning those calls or text. If any of you people hear have tried, I am sorry.......kind of. Anyhow, this is something I would recommend to people that dont have kids. I completely understand the need for a phone when your kids need you or you need them. Anyhow, there is my twitter for the day. I love - the lady in my avatar.
  2. Congrats on the first trail cam pics Alisha!
  3. Well, not really, but the ol' Yota feels like a new truck. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my gas mileage was HORRIBLE, like 12 mpg and for a 22re yota thats the worst I have ever seen. I also noticed a slight noise in the top end of the motor and then it started running rough. Also had a small leak under the intake so I spent a weekend working on the gal. Replaced the intake gaskets, all exhaust gaskets and EGR valve. Spent a good hour tracing vacuum lines and removing all the ones that I didnt need. This was a huge thing. Mainly because it got so much crap out of the way. Lastely I checked compression and got a reading of 120, 105, 60, and 175. Errrrrr....something aint right here. Pulled the cover and adjusted all the valves, had an exhuast stuck wide open on numebr 3. Anyhow, adjusted them all to within spec, got them to read 170, 168, 160, and 175, Good enough for me, put it all back together, did a complete tune up, jumped up from a 31 to a 33inch tire, new front shocks and tie-rod ends and the dang thing runs like its fresh off the lot with all its 78 horsepower instead of the 50 or so it was running on. Also, this past week checked the mileage and back up to 23-24 where it used to live, 11-12 more mpg is a HUGE difference. Needless to say, I am a happy camper. All in all, I spent just under 200 bucks on everything (but the tires). Man I love how cheap these things are on these things. Plus doing it all myself saved a ton of labor money. I cant imagine what my bill would have been. I would say, back at my old shop, we would have charged $1200-$1500 for everything I did. Its a good day today.
  4. What exactly are you replacing and why do you think you have to replace it? Do you have pics to post ot describe your problem?
  5. Looks like the Atlantic Flyway might be starting a little. Pacfic Flyway - is starting as well. Have seen mlultiple groups of geese flying in from the North. Also, ducks are starting to make there way here. Looking forward to my morning drive to work here in 15 minutes be the river to see how many have shown up since Friday. Had a decent cold front last week that pushed them down. This week is suppose to be HOT again, but the following is suppose to drop 20 degrees in High changes, so hopefully that brings more. Mississippi Flyway- any sightings yet from anyone?
  6. Hmmm, dang internet! Describing the amount of natural gas consumed by an entire country or a single residential appliance can be confusing, since natural gas can be measured in several different ways. The energy content of natural gas and other forms of energy (i.e., the potential heat that can be generated from the fuel) is measured in Btus (British thermal units). The number of "therms" that residential natural gas customers consume each month is listed on their gas bills. Quantities of natural gas are usually measured in cubic feet. For example, a typical natural gas futures contract is a financial instrument based on the value of about 10 million cubic feet (Mmcf) of natural gas. Here are some frequently used units for measuring natural gas: 1 cubic foot (cf) = 1,027 Btu 100 cubic feet (1 ccf) = 1 therm (approximate) 1,000 cubic feet (1 Mcf) = 1,027,000 Btu (1 MMBtu) 1,000 cubic feet (1 Mcf) = 1 dekatherm (10 therms) 1 million (1,000,000) cubic feet (1 Mmcf) = 1,027,000,000 Btu 1 billion (1,000,000,000 cubic feet (1 bcf) = 1.027 trillion Btu 1 trillion (1,000,000,000,000) cubic feet (1Tcf) = 1.027 quadrillion Btu To put this in context: 1,000 cubic feet of natural gas is approximately enough to meet the natural gas needs of an average home (space-heating, water-heating, cooking, etc.) for four days. In 2004, the average American home consumed 77,900 cubic feet of natural gas (or 77.9 million Btu). On a daily basis, the average U.S. home used 213 cubic feet of natural gas. (Source: American Gas Association Gas Facts 2006 (with 2004 data) Most natural gas household bills display the amount of natural gas consumed by the 'therm' (100,000 Btu) or in hundreds of cubic feet (100 cubic feet - 1 Ccf). Looking at larger quantities, 1 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas is enough to meet the needs of approximately 10,000 - 11,000 American homes for one year. 5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas is enough to meet the needs of 5 million households for 15 years. http://www.aga.org/Kc/aboutnaturalgas/additional/HowtoMeasureNaturalGas.htm
  7. Your spot looks great. Are you seeing many flying high when you hunt?

    Speckles?

Haven't notice it on any of the ones I have kileld but then again haven't looked to closely either. Will let you know in three weeks though. Wouldnt mind seeing your pics. congrats on the kills BTW.
  9. Your gas and diesel nozzles are the same size up there? Most I have seen here in the states, the diesel is bigger preventing the insanely smart americans from putting the diesel nozzle into their gas cars.
  10. Cant wait! I am getting pumped up for ya Tim! Are you going to do a texting update for someone to post your hunt "real time"?
  11. I dont get it. What is the Oops? Edit: OH!!!! I FOUND IT! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha, that sucks.
  12. take pictures of your walk, please.
  13. You measure it in Btus. 1 cubic foot is 1,027 Btus. There you go, you have now been trained. They should for sure hire you now, since I have trained you. Good luck out there! Hope its not a sparking experience.
  14. Better luck next time. I still hate you for being able to go out though! Did you scout this pond? Are they roosting there at night and flying out before shooting time? Maybe it would be worth hunting in the evenings. But be aware that this will kill the hole after the first couple of evening hunts. But it would be worth it to kill some birds if they are not coming in in the morning. I still am looking forward to the pics!
