ok sounds good. thanks for helping me out. it seems like the 98 silverado would have plenty of power for what i'd need it to do and i've been hearing from other people too that they're real tough and reliable. but have you heard of anyone that's had one of these trucks with the 350 and wished it had more power?
-
ok thanks. on my autotrader account i have another silverado saved. a 2000 with about 135,000 miles but with the 5.3L engine. here's the link for that one: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=269456179&dealer_id=1381234&car_year=2000&rdm=1273448468504&lastStartYear=1981&model=CHEV150&num_records=25&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2000&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=100&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&sownerid=71702&showZipError=n&make=CHEV&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=55803&advanced=&end_year=2000&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=82&standard=false

how is the 350 for hauling trailers? I might need it to haul an old 14 foot lund fishing boat or a duck boat this fall. Other than that i'd just have a four wheeler or snowmobile in the bed. If i find a truck with the 5.3L LS engine i'll drop this truck but it's been tough to find one that has everything i want and within a couple hundred miles of my place. This truck is the closest one to what i've been looking for.
-
too high ya think? earlier i listed the blue book price and its lower than what they're asking. so it should be easy to give them a lower offer than what they're looking for
-
Thats what i've been hearing. Reliable as **** and plenty of power. If i had the money for it right now it would already be in the driveway lol
-
Ya it definitely does! I looked on blue book and it valued it at around $8300. I didn't want to go more than a thousand below that because the truck is in great condition for a 98 and i'd feel bad if i paid anything less.

I've been looking for a truck for a while now and finally spotted one on autotrader that i like. 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 package, 94,000 miles. It's a couple hours away from where i live but only 5 miles from a relatives house. Here's the link: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=279234438&dealer_id=105582&car_year=1998&rdm=1273173363580&lastStartYear=1981&model=CHEV150&num_records=25&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1998&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=200&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&sownerid=71702&showZipError=n&make=CHEV&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=55803&advanced=&end_year=1998&doors=&transmission=&max_price=9000&cardist=141&standard=false&rdpage=thumb What do you guys think? Anybody have one of these silverados? Originally i wanted a mid 90's model but was starting to lean towards the newer style silverados, until i saw this one last night. Also wish it was a 4 dr ext cab cuz its gonna be a pain to have to walk around the truck everytime i need something out of the back seat.

Why doesn't everybody just rub it in my face?! Lol man i'm jealous of you guys

I didn't have time to watch the video but it's because of the amount of guns that are owned by their citizens right? I did a group speech in one of my college classes on the NRA and one of my group members brought up that Switzerland, one of the most neutral nations in the world, has the highest gun ownership per capita. Is that what the video was about?

I'm 18 soon to be 19 so mine were just starting to come in. That made everything pretty painless. But having them taken out when you're 31 i can imagine would be pretty tough. Hopefully it turned ok for her!
-
Yup. I listen to it every once in a while. Congrats on winning tickets!

What radio station?! I live about 30 miles outside of Duluth. Haven't been to Black Bear in years but i've been wanting to play a round of golf there.

No you definitely don't! We're kind of a dying breed (or possibly one on the rise). I never met another Cole until i got to high school, then all of a sudden there was about 3 or 4 of us. Now i think i've met close to 6 or 7 other Coles and everyone of them is a pretty cool person. It must come with the name

Lol I know what you mean. Here I i spent all this time trying to decide what type of hunting or fishing trip i was gonna take when the gas kicked in but i never even got out of the dentist's chair let alone to a deerstand.
-
Hahaha that would've been a sight. I was disappointed when i got the gas. I was told by the nurses that it would take me on any hunting or fishing trip i wanted to go on, but i didn't notice any of that. I really didn't feel any effect from the gas

Ya i can understand what ya mean. Before i lost all my baby teeth i always had bad news from the dentist. Ever since the permanent ones came in and i had the braces taken off it's been a complete turn-around. Only good news from the dentist now-days. But you really don't have anything to worry about. They give you the gas before anything happens and the IV needle goes in almost painlessly. Next thing you know your out like a light and you wake up in the recovery room loaded with novacaine (might've spelled that wrong). The novacaine doesn't wear out for hours and by then you've already taken enough ibuprofen to shoot yourself without feeling a thing. It's painless as can be, except for having to rinse your mouth with nasty salt water and baking soda  (My name's Cole too, by the way. If that is your real name)

Congrats! Can't beat those good ol' southern girls. Happy anniversary and many more to come!
-
Nothing like having the house to yourself and relaxing. I have the house to myself till sunday night so me and the dogs will be watching some movies and shooting the bow. Have fun!
-
That deer looks awesome! Should look even better on the side of a work truck!
-
Ya i was wondering if it was turning into a scam now that you have to pay for the anesthesia and laughing gas and all that, when really all you need to do is make sure you brush them real good everyday. With me it wasn't really an option because i had braces for a few years that cost my parents good money to fix my smile, so if anything was threatening to screw that up it had to go.
-
Thanks! I'm glad as well!

Same here. I also wonder what type of effect it will have on waterfowl populations in the Gulf. Hopefully they can do something to reduce the effect on their habitat and migration patterns. Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl will probably be on the frontlines doing hands-on work here soon.
