Real nice looking buck. Even better he's out and about during shooting light.

I have a question for yall. Do your cameras ever quit keeping the date? My battery indicator on mine never says that its running low, but after a month or two of running all the pictures will say 1/1/07 12:00:00. So I just swap out the batteries and reset the date and she's good to go.

For the last two weeks I haven't been getting hardly any pictures in front of my feeder. At the beginning of August I was getting around 400 pictures a week of at least 20 different deer. This is a spot that I haven't even hunted yet, and I 'm pretty positive nobody else has either. Should I start concentrating my efforts more on acorns? When the apples were falling they were still hitting the feeder pretty hard. It just blows my mind that I've only had one little basket racked 8pt on my cam in a week.

Yeah thats pretty much the same situation I'm in. I'm hoping maybe the guy that walked past me got a little eerie feeling when he walked past my truck knowing that he had been watched. Maybe he'll find a new walking trail. -

The frustration has set in already. Been out four times since last tuesday and have seen nothing. I think I have isolated the problems though. The problem with my problems is that I can't do anything about them. I hunt primarily on family land. Right behind my house there is about 300-400 acres and we have and apple orchard down the road that is about 40. My uncle owns the land behind the house, and lets pretty much anybody do whatever on it. I had a guy walk right past me at dusk Sunday evening. Then my cousins use the land like its there own private motorcross course day and night at least three times a week. My aunt lives beside our apple orchard down the road. They like to go on a stroll through the orchard every evening around sunset. I'm just praying for some cold weather to keep everyone inside. Sorry for the rant btw. -
I wrestled all through high school. Not quite the same as martial arts I don't guess, but what I learned has helped me out of a few sticky situations since.

Tomorrow is opening day for the upstate in SC. I'm taking a friend with me in the morning to try and get his first bowkill. We set our climbers up this afternoon in a big oak stand about five feet apart. I worked out a deal with him that he can smack a big doe if it walks out, but if one of the deer on my hitlist comes out then he's all mine. -
Lol that how we do it down here. I load my slingshot up with a single kernal of corn and shoot it right into the deer's mouth. They don't know where it came from but they're sure happy to get it :pacman: Back to the question. We have the same problem where we hunt. Once apples start falling off the trees they couldn't care less about corn, and the same with acorns.

Our season starts one week from today and I am pumped. If I can put an arrow through that bad boy it will definately be the highlight of my hunting career.

Finally got some clean horns on the boys this week and they are already sizing each other up. I hope the piebald sticks around for at least another month before they start hating each other, so I can get a shot at him.

Whats up guys. My name is Cody. I'm from South Carolina. We have a decent amount of farm land that I hunt here around my house, and a lease in the lower part of the state. We got some good bucks on camera the year, and one of the is a thirteen point. Hopefully I'll be able to knock one of them over this year. As for a name I like the Brotherhood. -
I think he would make the state record here in SC!

Just wondering if any of you guys have been having any luck out on the water. I haven't caught much at all on my last few trips.

Thats a pretty cool shot. I like the way cuddeback cameras will actually take a nice clean picture even when the animals are moving that fast. My leaf river IR and even my Reconyx probably wouldn't get anything more than a blur. I think they must have a slower shutter speed than cuddeback.

I'm gonna go with the rest and say high 130's to low 140's. Good job on letting him walk last year! He's a shooter this year for sure.

Haven't seen them. Sure would like to have a pair for turkey season.
-
Congrats on knocking one down on opening day. Gotta love our SC deer season.
-
For what I know about wisconsin deer I would say he's a solid 2 1/2 year old with some good potential.

I've taken probably taken around 25 in all my years of hunting. Started deer hunting at about the age of 9 and now I'm 22 so I don't guess thats too bad. The last few years I've only shot one or two a year but I'm ok with that. I've been holding out for a big one the last two years, and only shot does.

I usually only hunt our food plots in the evenings during rifle season. During bow season it seems like I spook them everytime I'm leaving because I have to set up to close to the food plot.

Congrats on the new camera. I bought a R60 a month ago, and its awesome. Like said above if your going to set the camera out over a feeding station you might want to adjust the quiet period on the camera. The first time I set mine out in the feeder setting it took over a thousand pictures in three days lol. Now I have it set on a five minute delay and still get about 500 pics a week. Keep us posted on how that High Output version works for ya.
