  1. Definately have that wide rack gene up there. That one looks like a steer with brow tines:eek:
  2. I've been thinking about this bad boy way too much lately. He finally stepped out for a daytime shot this Sunday. I might post it up later. The angle is not very good because he is quartering forward and you can't see very much of his piebaldness lol.
  3. It all depends on what you want to fish primarily in the pond. If your a bass fisherman taking the catfish out might not be a bad idea. When a bass is trying to guard its bed in the spring it is going to have a lot of problems trying to fight off bluegills and catfish. Also a pond that size you don't want to over stock because too much competition reduces growth of the fish.
  4. Whew yall have to wait a long time. Our season opens up August 15 here in SC.
  5. I can't speak too much from experience since I've only had one trailcam, but I love my leaf river IR-5. My girlfriend bought it for me last christmas and it has probably taken around 2000 pictures. Its been running none stop since then and I've only changed the batteries out once. It has a built in viewing screen, and can also record video and sound. You should look into it, I know that I'll have at least one or two more by the time hunting season rolls back around. Here's a couple of pics it has taken http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0219.jpg http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0205.jpg
  6. That frog looks pretty good I'll have to try it. Is there a certain way you set the hook with it, or is it just like a regular topwater plug.
  7. We have pound behind our house that has been taken over by lilly pads over the last few years. Its impossible to fish the pond from the bank. So my question is what do yall use to catch them when say 90% of the fish are buried in there?
  8. He'll definately be a full body mount if he ever shows himself within bow range during shooting hours.
  9. Thanks me too. I got my trailcam for Christmas and the first time I set it out in the woods I got a picture of him, and I couldn't believe my eyes. He's the only one I've ever seen around here. Last year he was a main frame 8pt with split brow tines, but I think he has the potential to be a nice 12pt this year. Also the date on the last pic is off, it says 2008 but it was taken this week.
  10. This is the piebald we have roaming our property here in SC. I've been getting tons of pictures of him the last few months. He's pretty much completely nocturnal. Out of around 400 pictures not a single one has been during the day. Hopefully I'll get a crack at him this year though. http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0219.jpg http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0255.jpg http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0565.jpg http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu8/socoz71/FILE0607.jpg
