Hey guys I just got a new phone today and im trying to find someplace to download a background for it, elk or deer. anyone know of anywhere? or anyone got one they can send me? this standard verizon crap is killing me! lol

Worked real hard for my first gun! Bought a Ruger M77 MarkII in 7mm mag when I was 11. Then worked hard to make to gun shootable, those Ruger triggers were god-awful! Added a Timney trigger, sandblasted the stainless, laser cut muzzle-break and a hougue stock. shoot like a dream now!

Shot it at the shop, wasn't impressed. The handle is HUGE, and the bow is very loud...being a limbsaver bow and all. I'd go with the deadzone personally.

Well I just got back from my first antelope hunt ever in western MT. Shot a decent buck and I want to do a European mount on it....here's where the problem is. When I shot him he was standing uphill and the bullet went in his throat and out the back of his head. The Skull is in pieces. Now I need a skull, any ideas on where to find a repro. or old skull? Thanks!

I love hunting in crappy weather, there usually move more. If it's really really windy they tend to do the same as you would, hole up. On the other hand, I like to elk in super windy conditions because there easy to walk up on then.

No, the strings not old, but it's a FUSE string and they suck bad. It's string stretch guaranteed. Take it to the closest shop and have them re-align the string for you. I would strongly recommend that you get a new set of strings and cables before next year. I worked on one AM this year that had 4'' of stretch!!

I was thinking about this last night while hunting deer. Everyday when I get home I have a really sharp pain in between my shoulder blades, it's really concentrated. Its gets really worse when I wear my pack or hike a lot. Anyone ever experience anything like this? any idea what it might be?

Went out chasing elk today and really messed up! Set out to shoot the first legal elk that offered shot, which is anter-less or brow-tined here in MT. About an hour after light I was walking through some Christmas tress when I could hear brush breaking right above me, heading my way. After a few moments a cow appeared at 15 yards, followed by two more. I had the second one dead to rights. Just as I was deciding that it was her I would take I saw antler tips coming behind them. The bull was a stud! Easily over 300'' probably pushing 320''. I got settled to wait for him then felt the wind change.... BAM! there goes the elk and my slam dunk 15yrd broadside shot:death: Maybe next week!

I agree with gardner. I limit myself on elk and muledeer to about 50. whitetail is about 30, there just too jumpy. Too answer your question. Do I think a 40 yard shot is unethical? No, not if you can do it. I do, however, think its unethical in the way your going about it. wanting to do a 40 yard shot to see if you can. Bowhunting is about getting close. I have far more respect for someone who arrows something at 10 than at 150.

I thought the same thing! But one night after I smoked a booner, nothing too big only about 250'' whitey, I wanted to take a shower to get the blood off. Well I went to hop in and them girls told me they like it when i'm dirty. I don't want the blood on me always, my co-workers are starting to complain now. I'm checking into the return policy now.
