    Tred

A lot of people disagree with his actions, but there is no doubt about it that he is one the most inspirational bow hunters out there right now. The man loves the sport. Tred's unfortunate accident has really opened my eyes. Life is short and anything is possible, we all need to enjoy life and live it to its fullest
  2. On most mathews when your bow is PROPERLY paper tuned your rest will actually be to the right of center. As others have said, your sight has nothing to do with tuning. the bow shop owner is clueless. If possible, you could build your own paper tuner and do it yourself. However, speaking for the owner of the shop. Perhaps what he meant was that if he moves out the sight and your adjust your rest accordingly, the bow would be out of tune. When your sight was into the riser where were your arrow hitting? Good Luck
  3. I used to build that rest, lol. They are very nice, easy to set-up as well. If you do go with that, feel free to PM for any questions.

    New bow

The Guardian is a great bow, plenty fast and quiet. is it a '07 or '08? the main difference is the cam color. '07 is silver, and '08 is black. good luck with your purchase!
  5. Montana BlackGold Flashpoint hands down! USA Built. only sight on the market with a true unconditional lifetime warranty. machined out of 6061 aluminum, photcromatic cover on pins will keep them from getting too bright, however, you'll still see your pins before and after legal shooting light. http://www.blackgoldsights.com/products_bowsights_flashpoint.aspx
  6. I shoot the CX Maximas now. extremely tough arrows, however, I'm going back to GoldTips next year, damn near as strong an half the price.
  7. Shockwaves and Stingers for doe's, Slick Tricks for elk and mule deer
  8. I would take a look at the Diamond Razor Edge. Complete set-up package. 30-60lbs and 19-29" of DL. IBO is 310fps. and all of that for $340! http://www.diamondarchery.com/bow_razoredge.php

    Peeps

Most people are shooting with the tubeless peeps anymore, on your PSE I would stay with your peep, unless you get a new string and cables. The free-float peep will twist all over and drive you nuts. There is a few companies making tubing out there that doesn't dry rot and crack, however. check out pine ridge, or go down to your local shop.
  10. In our bowshop we see broadhead flight problems all of the time...95% of the time it's because the head wasn't tuned to the arrow. Spin tuning is a must, and if done correctly you can make virtually ANY head fly. but first, we need specs on your set-up
  11. The Easton FMJ's are an awesome arrow, highly recommended. It's nearly impossible to tell you where to start with your arrow length. Your Pro Shop will have to measure it from the bow, everyone is different. I shoot 28" DL and my arrows are 26.5". Good Luck! Short
  12. Another way to look at it.. IBO is measured with different arrow weights at different poundage's. 70 lbs is measured with a 350gr. arrow 60lbs. with a 300gr. Arrow and so on. On top of that, you have roughly 10fps lost per every inch you drop off of 30" DL. So, for example. Take a bow that shoots 320fps IBO. your draw length is 28" and you want to shoot a 350gr. arrow at 70lbs... your looking at around 300fps. before string speed deducts. If you wanted to factor in heavier arrows past that your looking at about a 4fps speed loss for every 20gr. of arrow weight. Hope that helps Short
