  1. Yeah I agree i think maybe he just isn't sure what to do right now
  2. I understand that but if you have that problem just call the law and let them handle the guy thats tresspassing
  3. If its pvt property call the law and let them handle it not sure what the laws are in your state put in NC if the land is posted they will be in alot of trouble
  4. I guess it does but seems like his story was just that a big story to try and make a point about how bad he doesn't like 4 wheelers and I still wouldn't walk a 1/2 mile to still hunt next to the road sorry
  5. Ground check him the first chance you get, nice deer
  6. I use them and have found the moon phases to be pretty accurate except during the rut

    Rubs

Yeah I agree the rut and rubbing are different things, the rubs normally mark feeding and bedding areas
  9. I use mock scrapes all the time and use drippers to keep them active I have had alot of success doing it also
  10. I agree Nocternal is definatly right, I like to put up a dripper that puts scent out during the day only and hope you can lure him out during daylight hours to check the scrapes, this has worked for me and other people I hunt with
  11. Man looks to me you are pretty close to where you need to be all I would maybe do is place trail cams down the tree line to see if you can catch where they may be moving first
  12. Man hate to hear that but been there done that had a cam stolen two years ago
  13. Always feel good to finally get a buck you have been after congrats
  14. I agree with the last guy I have three Wild Game cams and they work great and don't cost near as much as alot of other I normally leave them out for two weeks and my card always fills up before the batteries go dead.
  15. Nice deer and glad you took a kid hunting so good job to you too
  16. On a full load of hunting clothes i will use about half a small box

    Acorn Rage?

Where in NC are you? I hunt in Montgomery Co. I hunt in both pines and oak trees and have never had much luck with the acorn rage product mainly use corn here as most of the people in my hunt club
  19. Great deer and good luck hope the next pics are with you holding his rack
  20. I think everyone missed the guys point about him walking in a 1/2 a mile to hunt by a road. When I hunt by a road I sure don't walk 1/2 a mile to get there noemally about 100 yds.If you walk in a 1/2 a mile there shouldn't be any roads around
  21. If you have a trail camera I would say put it up in different places around to see some deer movement
