  1. Dont put it on top of a hill
  2. I got a new string put on my bow around the middle of may, and ive been shooting lots since then , everyday, and i noticed the other day right where the string touches the cam , the little black threads that are wrapped around the string, seem to be loose and coming undone a bit, and then farther onto the cam there is an even longer section of the same thing, id post a picture but seeing it in the picture is very hard, and i waxed the **** outta my string to maybe try and help it, but my question is, has this happened to anyone else, and is it going to be ok? il be going to the archery shop soon, but thought id ask here first.
  3. Hung one up yesterday, took forever to find a good tree, but found one, about 15 yards infront of it is one of the biggest deer highways ive ever seen, put my camera up to, deffinatley pumped to check what kinda pics im getting, and to start hunting outta the stand
  4. Where abouts in saskatchewan are ya from?
  5. They are horrible this year, through the second half of may and june we got about 16 inches of rain, so there is standing water everywhere, and they are normally bad in manitoba, but this year is horrible, the worst ive ever seen, after shooting fot about 2.5 hours last night and eating about 1000 of those little bastards my hands were covered in bites and today im just itchin and scratching like crazy

i get it right to the exact temperature the instructions say, 180 degrees, dip it in slow, and rotate as i pull it out, pretty much exactly as it says to do

Well i shoot a Martin Pantera, with a whisker biscuit, about 67 # draw weight, and carbon impact fat shaft arrows, 280 fps, so very similar set ups, i might of bought a bad batch, but the vanes do not want to stay on the shrink tube at all, i put my last two on last night figuring i might as well use them, and after just 5 shots at the 3d range tonight, one of the vanes ripped off, the other is holding up well, so im not sure why im having such an issue with them.

Ethan what setup do you have? just curious if maybe fps has an impact on how well they last, or arrows maybe.

    Dream Buck.

i wouldnt be too picky, but i guess the new world typical whitetail would suffice
  10. Went through the same thing with the my golden lab a couple years back, i was wandering into the bush at a young age, maybe to young, and one day i wandered too far in ,i was about 3, and that dog stayed by my side and barked till i was found 7 hours later, a good dog is most deffinatley mans best friend, sorry for your loss

    3D Range

Thats a shame that some one would do that, our targets are kept indoors except for every thursday night, which is archery night, all the people who cut the lanes and trails, put them out and bring them in, and built the two treestands, do it on there own time, and every week we have more and more people come, its a great time
  12. Will be hangingmine this weekend, been waiting for a windy day to keep the mosquitos down,(its been the worst year for mosquitos i can remember) but i dont want to wait any longer, wind or not, I will be putting them up

Well im going to go totaly against what the guy above me said, i bought the extreme shrink fletch with blazer vanes to try them out, the first one i put one looked like the vanes werent glued onto it very well, but i went ahead and tried it, and about the third shot i took the one vane just ripped off when i shot, and since then ive put more on my arrows, gone exactly by the instructions, used the right temperature water, left a little debris and roughed up the edge of the arrow so they would stick better, and they still slide up the shaft of my arrow after I shoot them a while, im deffinatley not going to get them again, i will go back to getting my regular wraps and not having to deal with the hastle of these anymore. But thats just my personal experience and opinion

    Toews

Jonathan Toews brought the Stanley Cup to winnipeg over the weekend, and wow, what a class act that guy is, there was a huge parade with an even bigger crowd, and then the mayor gave him a key to the city, named the rink he grew up playing hockey in after him, and named a lake after him, he then spent the rest of his afternoon signing autographs with the public, and then with some special needs and sick kids, always liked him and seeing how humble and down to earth he is deffinatley makes him my favourite nhl player hands down.

    3D Range

The local game and fish association put together a 3D range, it took alotta hard work and money to get the trails cut and the targets bought, most of the initial money came from a bow raffel at the scoring night in december, and now with it gaining popularity and more people buying memberships its really taking off, its actualy quite challenging, there is 20 targets in total, two treestands to shoot out of and shots ranging from 5 yards to 45 yards, just thought id share some pictures, its alot of fun and great practice and a good thing to get going if you dont already have one Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  18. Not sure if anyone has seen this video, but this guy was nature filming when he came up on this old girl and her cub, deffinatley an interesting video, the sad thing is on the news they said people were commenting saying the bear should have killed him, and he shouldnt be carying a gun, and its actualy the law where he was that you have to carry a fire arm for protection, either way, its an interesting video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9t3nejfTXg
  19. im not to impressed with them right now, they are tearing easily, had one slide up the shaft, im just gonna go get them done the normal way next time
  20. Any body using or used these? i just put some one my arrows, seem to be working good, they shoot just like my old arrows, but because my target is getting way passed its prime, i shot one through, and it didnt like that at all, it was all mangled up. Im not to worred though because that target would be about 10 x harder to go through than a deer, but im just wondering if any one else has any feed back on them? pros cons?
  21. Thats a great bear , where abouts were u hunting in manitoba?
  22. Thanks, the way i see it a bear is a bear, i wasnt being too pickey, it just so happened that the first bear that wasnt rubbed out and offered a good shot was a good sized one, but congrats to you guys on your success aswell.
  23. Thanks we had a great season, looks like you did too, were you hunting in manitoba too?
