  1. Yeah rhino this whole thing is just a sham. it ticks me off every time I hear them say well bow hunters can hunt every day of the season.
  2. Man those are some fine looking calls. I think I played with one of your calls the other day.
  3. Congatulations to all who made the list. You just can't fix stupid.
  4. Man dang coons, opossums, and now even yotes are taking over down here. I can assure you if I catch any of the above in my yard year round they are toast. They are considered pest/varmits. Although there is a season they are still varmits that can be nusiance animal.
  5. That's about more then I saw all year. It was slow here this year.
  6. Man that's nice. I was invited to hunt OK last year. We had a great 3 days of hunting.
  7. Poor pup and your poor wallet. Sounds about like my luck.
  8. Let us know how it goes. Sometimes they will be hesitant to try something like that. If so may try pouring a few cups of corn on it every couple of days. This will get them licking it to get the corn and then if they like it they will stick with it. I'm sure it would have some valuable minerals for them. They may only use it certain times of the year when they need those minerals.
  9. Good gooobly goo. Man I would be packing some serious heat everytime I went outside if I lived there. By the way how does bear meat taste.
  10. Yall live in some beautiful country but thank goodness. I don't have to deal with all that. Although we have gotten more this year than in a long time. Here today gone in 2.
  11. I second the super glue gel.
  12. You tried that thing let's hear how it does.
  13. I had my mine made up to buy one just from the reviews. I got to a dealer with one andput my hands on it and immediatly changed my mind. I thought if felt cheap. I didn't like the action so I'm going to get another ruger mk II. To me it is a much better gun for the same money.
  14. I will have to look into thsoe. I really like marlin rimfires. You should be happy with the .270. Use that money you saved to buy some good optics and you'll have a mighty fine rifle.
  15. I would say use an empty case to be safe. My question would be why would you dry fire a rifle that much. I occasionaly may dry fire mine but its deffinetly not a good habit to have.
  16. Sounds like you have good ideas. You can spray all corn I think with atrazine(sp). You could check with someone more knowledable. It may be more cost efficient than RR, but with less than an acre probably won't be too much difference.

    "Toad"

Nice question and some good answers.
  18. Nice pics. Its just right around the corner now. I can't wait looking at pics like those.
  19. Its nice to have an idea where they are to have a start up game plan, but I very seldom roost them. I plan to hunt more in the evenings this year because of my work schedule. I may have a new outlook before the season is over.
  20. This is all about 1 thing and that is money. I've heard Chad Dacus(the head deer guy pushing this) speak on two different subjects lately and what he said at each completely counteracted what he said at the other. The first was that this season change was to help REDUCE an out of control population. The second was the antler restrictions we have are in place to reduce buck harvest therefore improving breeding habits and INCREASING deer numbers. Its a sad day when you can't even expect to get the truth from the biologist who are suppossed to be protecting the resource not the money men.
  21. I don't know anyone that has one but I did hold one at a gun store. It is a neat idea and from what I've heard is supposed to basically be and 870 wrapped in the armour stuff. Not much help but I would definetly hold one before I made up my mind if I were you.
  22. I know a guy that's about 6'2" and 190 shoots one no problem. I think I will stick with my 12. I'm actually thinking towards outfitting me a 20 for next season. I do a lot of walking and the extra weight reduction would help
  23. Remington 870. Been shooting them for years with no problem. Them mossbergs got too much mule in em for me.
