  1. Ive seen some reviews on firenocks just not many. of course every one know lumenok and i like the brightness of them. but if i can get a few that work just as well for less im all about that.
  2. Just what I heard. I've looked into lighted nocks and I was leaning toward nockturnals.what color works best?
  3. Im not sure if tracers at the brand that uses a magnet to turn on the light but theirs one on the market that does and i have heard that some people had a problem with the magnet pulling their arrow off target.

Thats pretty cool. Ive just recently started and i have learned alot from talking to other bow hunters and target shooters. I would just rather play it safe and not worry about the lights. one question though? does that pertain to the lighted sight (rheostat light) ? i have the regs and im going to get more into reading it since its getting closer. there is one im slightly confused about. the three deer [er year law. only two maybe legal buck (three points) in any combination of the seasons. thats what it states so does that mean a doe in any of season? if so im guna feel dumb since i let one walk at about forty yards last year. but again im just going to play it safe with just in archery season. until i get further information on that subject.

How do you know so much about archery? Lol I mean its a good thing so no disrespect in the question just impressive that's all. I think its a dumb law myself now you brought to my attention. Has ny made it illegal to have a lighted nock?

Have no clue what the size of the pin is. Its a pro hunter brand. It was the brightest one I could find. Has a clear housing. What brand do you have?
  8. Have to cross a pond then take about a quater mile walk do a longing road then up and over a ridge to get to my blind. Cleared some of the trail this summer but got a lot to do still. Just not there to do it.
  9. i picked up a scent elimination package from Wal-mart for i around twenty bucks and you can get a scent free bag or what not for a reasonable amount. ,mostly i have found if you keep you eye out for deals then its not to bad. but all the layering and expensive brands are not needed.
  10. I like every hunter want the mature deer but i also want meat. There's a antler law in Vermont that has been in effect for as long as i can remember. so spikes and buttons are out. saw a nice eight or nine last year but of or range. where i go to the woods is on the back side of a heavily hunted piece of public land so i figure the pressure will push a nice size buck my way. nothing in the range of 155 though. do you know if he had it mounted? i know i would. where im from thats a monster.
  11. I agree. this pastsummer I was out on the inlaws land with no scent cover on at all and had a doe run down the trail and stop within 10 yards from me. She was curious but not spooked. Either way im still going to use spray and keep my woods clothes in bags. I just cant help to think about how all the old folks did it and were successful with out all of this scent elimination product?
  12. how light is the trigger set and is it capable of pulling back your draw weight. i know its a dumb question but anything possible.
  13. i put a front mount Norway Industries "String Tamer G" on my diamond and it help with noise and vibrations. The package it came with states "eliminates excessive cable movement, quiets your shot, increase arrow speed, improve accuracy, reduces hand shock and reduce string slap." since i have put it on mine it seems to do everything its designed to do. i recommend giving it a shot. do you have anything else on your diamond?
  14. south eastern. windsor county. im guessing your around Albany area? im originally from there but stationed down here in Virginia. getting out in October. heading back that way for good. and cant wait to get there. ill be hitting the tail end of archery and get in a full rifle finally. kind of was hoping some one on here was having some sort of luck up there since i have been shut out the last three years. im thinking about exploring more of that once i get home. how is New York hunting?

Ithe single i use is adjustable and very bright. I like it alot i just worry about the adjustment that need to be made when its time. The multi pin sights i have seen dont compare in brightness.

I use a single pin now but I'm thinking about going to a multiple pin set up. Any upsides or down sides to doing this?
