Does anyone have any experience with one of these? Sure would be nice to save what's left of my hearing. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/832...rem-choke-blue

There are no details because they are running for President, which is the Executive branch. Presidents don't enact or repeal anything.

I did buy it and so far, so good. I tried to shoot it once and it is just wayyy too short for me to get a good impression of it. It fits my daughter very well - it is very easy to adjust the draw length and pull weight.
-
I spent the extra $$ and got one with the angle compensation, but I wouldn't do it again. I have done some target shooting on the steepest hills I can find (I live in CO and it's pretty steep around here) and the difference between the compensated and straight-line range is rarely more than a few yards. Maybe if you are hunting from a high tree stand it would matter, but I suspect that if an animal is close enough to make the angle really steep, then the range is going to be small, so the difference will be small as well. I suppose if you shoot really long distances (>50 yds) on steep hills it might be significant as well. Just my opinion.

None of my local dealers has one of these and I wanted to try one before I buy it for my daughter. I can't even find any real reviews for it either. Anyone have any info or opinions?

I can only imagine the amount of time and effort that went into this video. I didn't even notice the music, so it must fit.

Also sounds like maybe the bow's draw length is too long. Have you been measured at a bow shop? Most bows have adjustable draw length, but some require a bow press to adjust.
-
You shouldn't be clenching your fist to draw, all the tension should be on your wrist. Maybe just need to adjust the release so it's tighter around the wrist.

Good stuff! Maybe a little too much of footage of the ground in front of you, but you can't hunt and be a cameraman at the same time, I guess.
-
Do you mean "down" as in pointing down to the ground or do you mean that you start letting off on the string?

skeptic A Faraday cage for hunting, huh? Count me as a skeptic. Sounds like snake oil, pun intended. Sharks are one example of animals that can detect small changes in the electric field caused by other animals muscle movement, but they live in salt water (very conductive). HowStuffWorks "What is electroreception, and how do sharks use it?" Air does not conduct electricity very well. The only other radiation (besides very small amounts of radioactive decay Radiation from humans) is thermal radiation, or infrared. Only snakes, I think, can see IR: Night Vision in Animals | dmohankumar.com. JMO

Opinion on Muzzleloader load for Elk in Colorado
COEngineer replied to LSUbray's topic in Big Game & Exotics
Any load that you can reliably shoot straight. BTW, other posters will want to know what caliber, etc you are shooting. -
Just bumping this to top. My son and I both drew our deer and elk rifle tags!

Replace everything at once. I had mine done at a local shop for ~$100. I think they were Zebra(?) brand.

Good shot.

To check your pref pts go to bottom of this page: Draw Results & Preference Points | Colorado Parks and Wildlife Enter your CID & DOB or last name, DOB, and zip code. BTW, I understand the backlash against CO for the ridiculous gun laws we passed. However, the DPW had nothing to do with those laws, and that's who gets your license dollars. Of course, the taxes you pay on everything else while you are here get spent by the same legislature that passed those gun laws. So, like I said, I understand.

815, where do you draw the line then? Can your neighbors turn their dogs loose in your backyard anytime they want? Who decides when you are afraid of a dog? You or someone who wasn't there? I agree that this guy probably overreacted, but that doesn't mean he did anything legally wrong, IMO.
-
I guess I tend to see things in black and white. If the dog was on his property and it was not welcome, then he has every right to shoot it. The only "abuse" was not killing it humanely - it made it to the vet (he probably used bird shot). Even so, it is his property, the dog was not welcome...end of story. IMO Not saying I would have done the same thing (in fact I have been in the same situation and have not shot the dog), but I defend his right to be an ass.

I disagree that you need to make minimum payments for a while. I have had credit cards for almost 20 yrs now and have only paid interest one or two months. All you have to do is make payments on time.

ATF: Store that sold guns to Newtown mom had violations This article says they had 500+ violations in the past few years...but didn't get noticed until after the massacre. Still, none of the violations were related to the guns used in the school shooting. BTW, I thought they figured out that the AR-15 was not used in the school shooting!? Not that it really matters either. He could have done it with a knife or any other weapon.

I really don't think NASCAR pays for flyovers. Who would they write the check to? The USAF does not accept private money, last time I checked.
-
I don't think the event organizers ever pay for them. It is advertising for the military and paid for with tax dollars. There aren't any extra tax dollars available, so the air shows have got to go.
