So when's the new contest starting up guys? I know there's still almost a month and a half for most of us to hunt, but I'm always ready to talk smack and lose.

What part of Ga are you in? I know in the crisp and Dooley co area no bait is needed, those damn things run around all year and tear everything up.

Well, my season is done. Gotta stop hunting these next few weeks and get some stuff done before the little one gets here.

I used a 7mm-08 earlier this year, knocked a doe down in her tracks. It was a TC single shot. Great gun, looking for one myself.

And I'm here wishing it would get 50 or so degrees cooler and snow for about a week!

I'm far from being religious, however I support Phil 100%. I support his freedom of speech, and also his freedom to express his religious beliefs. We're all sinners one way or another, and before it comes up, he wasn't judging, he was pointing out sins and his personal views on homosexuality, the latter I fully agree with him on. I have read the Bible, some of the Koran ( it became very clear to me that it's a religion of complete intolerance), I've even read the teachings of Buddha. The latter of which is probably the most tolerant of all deities. I'm really not seeing why the LGBT community is being so intolerant of him and his religion, this is just going to push the divide even further between straight and gay. I'm tired, so so tired of hearing of gay "rights". They are rights when you get them added to the Bill of Rights, then I will defend your rights like everyone else's. Ok end rant.

Found a CVA from academy for under 200, who has one, or has shot one?

I was looking at a CVA today, heard they are a good dependable gun. Right now I'm just in the research and pricing phase right now. Thanks for the info though!!

It's been two years of bad luck all around, heavy drought conditions, deer too far to take a good shot, not enough time in the woods, and just plain ol' bad luck. But that all ended Sunday morning, in the stand for about 15 min max and here comes a doe after hitting the grunt call a couple of times, she looked around a bit and then presented herself broadside just long enough to drop the hammer on her. [ATTACH]14019[/ATTACH] Dropped her right where she stood from 60 or so yards away. Meat is in the freezer and now I'm happy happy happy. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and a couple extra days in the deerwoods like I do this week!!

What's the average price that you guys have found these rifles going for? I have to watch the wallet but want to get a quality rifle for the old lady.
