  1. I found the dirt scent attracts buyers. As far as deer and bear, I have use both the dirt and no-dirt pads in my Thermacell. Both work well, game never noticed.
  2. What do y'all use? I have a Vortex Sidewinder 10x42 and Nikon ex 16x50. Both nice lower end models. This weekend I will hit Bass Pro as they have a bino trade in deal. I am looking at Swarvoski CL Companion 8x30. I tried the Zeiss Conquest HD but I had to hold them too far from my face to work. So, if Bass Pro is out of stock I will also be a Buckmaster's as Swarvoski will be there. I can make the alpha verizon bins but the CL should be a good compromise. Anyone have experience with the CL or HD? p:disolve:
  3. I have it. Low quality video. A bit hard to make sure it is recording mode. Holds a mini-sad card so you need the Sd Adapter if you want to load the video into your computer. You could aways use a cable from camera to computer. Better options out there now where you can use GOPro ( I have that too) or a holder for your iPhone that attaches to your gun or bow ( yep, have tht too!). If you really want one, check out ebay and a seller with a high rating, it may be cheaper than what Amazon is selling it for.
  4. I found any brand I tried in the under $250 category usually died in very few years if not a year. I never went for the Reconyx which has some stellar ratings. So, in the lower end price point my Moultrie trail cameras seem to work well for me.
  5. I had a Bushnell rangefinder over 10 years. Accurate and awesome battery life. However, it was bulky, about as large as a 10x42 binocular. So, I just decided it was time for an update. I purchased the Leupold RX-800i TBR rangefinder. Nice and compact. I can change the size of the reticle. Overall, a lot more features and a lot smaller. I will keep the old rangefinder as back up/ spare in case a friend hunts with me and does not have a rangefinder.
