Oh, and I forgot, I went to the doctor today and have a cracked hip bone from it, so we are pressing charges now. I'm gonna play on it the rest of the football season, but that may or may not mean I'm out of track for this year. I was expected to get the state record this year, but I don't know now. [/ QUOTE ] This would be the grown up thing to do. In cases like this proof becomes a major factor in court. In this case you have one persons word vs another. He can say anything to dispute your claims. ( you called Him over on your property ect..,) If you use a pistol to hold someone until the police arrive you now are looking at prison time. What do you do if He walks away? Shoot Him? Im sorry this happened but I think if it cant be worked out between you, you are right to let the law handle it. Good luck. A guy that lives down the road from us is a IDNR Ranger guy, and he said its fine. I mean, a) its for coyote. and b) they are gonna be able to tell the difference between a bullet hole and a arrow hole in a deer. However, I woulnd't take a deer with a pistol in bowseason anyway.
