PAbowhunter4life
Re: hoyt trykon? How do you like your Elite??? I have hear dnothing but good about them and they definitely look like sweet bows. I haven't had a chance to make it to any of the shops yet to shoot one; but I definitely want to give one a try. Hoyt03
Re: hoyt trykon? Its common sense that Matthew guys like Matthews and Hoyt guys are going to like hoyts. Of course theres going to be bias here. I like the fact that the title of this post has hoyt in it and the most responses have been given by someone with a Mathews avatar under their name. Who cares what who shoots and who likes what and who's is faster, quieter, blah blah blah. Ive never seen a double lunged deer not expire b/c the person who shot it wasnt using the right name bow. When that happens and people start claiming their bow defies the laws of physics, that's whne points get proven and links are provided lol

It always seems like any question regarding a Hoyt or Mathews turns into a Ford vs. Chevy type debate. That's why I gave an account of what I experienced when trying different bow out, and why I made the decision I did...of course I immediately followed that up with...choose the one YOU like not the one everyone else likes...Like I said...there are NO PERFECT BOWS OUT THERE...only a bunch of GREAT BOWS with different name brands on them!!! Too bad it always comes to this
mo_hunter
Re: hoyt trykon? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Love the trykon fast and quiet not as smooth as my lx but much faster. Great bow [/ QUOTE ] LMAO.................... with all due respect, if your Trykon is faster than your LX was, then you need to tune your bows better. The Trykon is rated at 314 fps, the Trykon XL is rated at 316 fps............ The LX you ask???? 318 fps.............. and yes, it will do every bit of that. Man, Hoyt's are so good now they can defy the laws of physics lol [/ QUOTE ] There is no comparison in speed at all my 26 inch lx 248fps with the same arrow 361 grains as my crackerized trykon 40 ft faster with the trykon 288 fps. I don't care what anyones website states the speeds are. This post was started asking about a trykon not MATHEWS. I like both companies here sure the mathews is smoother than the trykon there is no comparision and there is no comparision in the speed either. This isn't a hoyt vs mathews thing for me just my experience with the LX an the trykon.

Newarcher
Re: hoyt trykon? Love mine..... No jump what so ever and I came from a Razortec and it was night and day. Very little vibration....again a vast improvement over the Razortec. Issues: Fuse strings just stink. They had a problem with the serving near the bottom cam coming loose but I think that was solved. Replaced the strings and kept the fuse as backup. The lower cam's draw stop is always coming loose. I also had a complaint that I picked up my bow and the lower cam was dinged. The shop (very bad shop) said that it must have happened between the time I bought it and the time I brought it back to get it set up. That was BS. It came dinged from the factory. Hoyt gave me the "send it back and we'll see what we can do". It didn't affect performance or hurt the string so I just kept it. Overall, like it very much and I shot the Switchback and the Trykon was much better. I didn't like the Switchback's draw cycle. New
mo_hunter
Re: hoyt trykon? [ QUOTE ] Issues: Fuse strings just stink. [/ QUOTE ] I gave the fuse string a try and the serving separated around the bottom cam and where the draw stop peg contacts the cable after a couple weeks and after about two months of shooting stretched about 1/4 inch. Put a good custom strings on and the difference is like night and day.

Guest mophy78
Re: hoyt trykon? I have shot this bow for about 6 months now. I was coming from a bottom line hoyt and I got to tell I love it. My buddy bought one too. The only thing is that after you shoot it for a while the string stretchs and you start to get a twang from the string but I but string leaches on it and it disappeared. But man I swear it is the smoothest bow I have ever shot. I would highly recommend it.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: hoyt trykon? Kevin and Clay are right, let's keep this thread in line and quit bringing in other bow companies and doing comparisons. If the thread was intended for that I would say buy a Reflex like I got, then again its made by Hoyt!! Whatever bow you are shooting please try not to knock the other guy's bow company. I know its easy to do but it brings out the ugliness on here and we don't want to see that. Takes me back to grade school and the Ford vs. Chevy debates that went on. Gets old fast. Now lets hear more about these Trykon's!! LOL!!
