When I first moved down here I lived in Newark which made my commute about 50 miles, but that only lasted for 4 months. I guess technically, my shortest commute was when I was in the service. I drive 768 miles one way, spend 45 minutes being unloaded and reloaded fro the return trip, then start the 768 mile return. My shortest was a 1/4 mile walk when I lkived in Ks. It was almost all highway, so it wasn't to bad. The closest is 4 miles. Depending on the job, sometimes it's a good thing to have some cool-down time.
