jbeck
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: I think I'll pray for the family of the man killed, then I'm going to pray for this man. I'm sorry for the terrible loss, but I must admit that I've not always done the smartest things while driveing. I Believe he should go to jail, for the max time they can get. But I will say a prayer for him also. WWJD.

Steve [/ QUOTE ] On a lighter note, Paris Hilton herself was arrested for DUI just last night. And while she didn't kill anyone or herself, how much you wanna bet she gets off with just a light slap on the wrist. I bet all she has to do is a PSA saying "Ummmm, don't drink and drive, cuz it's like, bad and stuff."

There, now that is a LOT harsh and he deserves every bit of it. He killed a man by his sensless and selfish actions and you can't tell me he didn't know better. Why is it that people care more about the instigator than the true victim? (not talking about you but people in general). How many friends have you lost to drunk drivers? I have lost three. As far as I am concerned, this piece of trash can go to hadees and be abused by satan using a fiery stallagmite! That goes for all the other drunk drivers as well. Just to clarify, this wasn't an accident. It wasn't just something that happened to him while on the way home from work. He was driving aggressively while drunk. An accident is when you wheel falls off while driving or when you are going a correct and safe speed for conditions an still hydroplane or your tire blows out. That's an accident. It is not an accident when you intentionally get behind the wheel of a vehicle and drive while drunk. Even if he wasn't drunk (we know he was), he was driving like an idiot. He took the life of an innocent man. He deserves to have died along side his victim in this case but I guess that didn't happen. Therefore, he deserves everything the full weight of the law can afford him. New
hutchies
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: He is an above average bike builder but I don't think he is top notch. I have seen a few of his shows where he has problems with the bikes running right. Personally I don't care if your the president. If your BAC comes back over the legal and you killed someone then you deserve whatever you get.

Newarcher
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: Exactly..... Why is it that people are so quick to come to the defense of a low life who decides that his/her persuit of pleasure trumps everyone else's right to safety. There is no difference between driving drunk and putting on a blindfold and driving 70 MPH in Atlanta traffic. It is complete disregard for anyone but themselves. I suppose so many people have done it that no one wants to tell it like it is because that indicts themselves as well. New
wtnhunt
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: While it does not bring back the man who lost his life over this senseless stupidity, I have faith that if any state will do what is right, that it would be Texas followed closely by Florida. The laws in Florida on dui's are pretty serious and as I said before, bet he either gets charged with involuntary manslaughter or vehicular homicide. As for a "hero", dont know who looks at these types as such, but as is obvious here too many people who never heard of this idiot for him to be called as such. Newarcher
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: If every state gave a mandatory jail sentence and five year license suspension with each DUI, I bet that most would stop. Some would continue to drive without the license and wouldn't care but going to jail for a year...let's say....would cost most people their jobs and/or families. The only problem? Our leaders are among those that drink and drive, so they can't suffer the embarrassment of a conviction on their career and reputations. So the laws are still weak and the deaths of innocent people continue. New
QDMAworks4me
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: Billy Lane prides himself on being a partier. This type of accident does not surprise me, people make mistakes everyday I would feel different if he killed himself but now that he killed someone else I think he needs to spend days behind different kinds of "bars" thinking about what he did. Buckslayer
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: Why didn't God give me Billy's gift... at least I would have made millions doing something responsible with it! He is ALWAYS chugging whiskey, and partying till he passes out. This doesn't come as a surprise at all after watching the crazy stuff he does on TV. His talent for metal art and mechanics could have made him a very reputable hero in the long run... but he threw it all away in a matter of a few years. Yes, its a shame popgun. Newarcher
Re: Another Hero(?) Shamed?: Buck, my friends and I say the same thing all the time. Why is it that so many professional athletes and celebrities retire poor? Tyson is a great example. If God gave me that talent, I would squander every penny I could in case of a debilitating injury. Once retired, I would live life to the fullest, being smart with the money. I don't know why it is that some of the dumbest people alive are so successful at sports.
