USC is about to get buried in NCAA sanctions.

[/ QUOTE ]

For this reason, maybe. But I honestly don't think Carroll is foolish enough to leave the easiest job in all of Head Coaching for the NFL. What's the average tenure for NFL coaches, 2 years? crazy.gif

I'd rather ride out losing a few scholarships for a season and keep making millions. Anyway, the next Bush and Leinhart are probably somewhere to be found in his next couple recruiting classes.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree. Besides, these sanctions could be alot more serious then losing a few scholarships.

[/ QUOTE ]

You really think the BCS is gonna let their golden program be ruined? No way, that program, in that market=$$ and what else does the BCS care about??

[/ QUOTE ]

The BCS doesnt have to do squat with this, it's the NCAA. But yeah, I get your point.

They'd probably like to cover it up but in this age of ESPN 24/7 it might be pretty hard for them to cover that up. All it takes is one reporter to uncover something, which has already happened, and the NCAA will have to do something.

They'll lose some scholarships, and probably have to shell out some cash. But that program can survive something like that especially with as young of a team as they have.

I really don't think Carroll would leave, but who knows. I'm sure he could double his salary.

Carroll would make a killing in the NFL. He could probably be one of, if not thee highest paid coach if he came in.

PS---ask Alabama about " just losing a few scholarships". smirk.gif

Just saw a brief history of his playoff losses from his career. The majority of them hinged on one play and one player. Either a missed field goal or a fumble at the goal line.

[/ QUOTE ]

Finally, some reason, albeit from an unlikely source. grin.gif Btw- Kev, I know what you're doing. grin.gif

[ QUOTE ]

Stupid. This is a move they should of made a month ago. All the good coaching candidates are already gone.

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe that was their goal, for them to see all the jobs get taken by guys with limited if no head coaching experience then give Marty the ax!

I hope San Diego goes 2 & 14 next season! That will show them! grin.gif
