Jeramie
Its nothing like the inches upon inches we had the first of this year but its still no picnic. There are still well over 100k people without power. Most have been told it will be a week.

bfletch7441
I'm on the 10th floor of our building, and I can hear trees breaking across the street. It's bad, but I'm afraid it's only going to get worse over the next day or two. Ben
Jeramie
Man, that's two years in a row, ain't it? Actually thats twice this year. We had anywhere from 2" to 5" in just a few days all over North east Oklahoma back in January. Thats when we lost power for 6 days. It was the BAD one. Oklahoma typically has Ice every year. We are just far enough north the cold comes in and just far enough south that it doesnt turn into a blizzard (that also works against us during Tornado Season). And because Im sitting at home with a 2 year old I have to subject you all to more pics. I have nothing else to do...

Our offices are on south Lewis and we didnt have power today. I went to work but ended up leaving an hour later. They told us it would be at the very earliest this afternoon before they could even think of working on our power.
ksbowhntr77
Gee, I hope we don't get it that bad but we're supposed to get anywhere from 1"-2" of ice in the next 36 hours or so. It's already slick on the back roads, I drove them all weekend rifle hunting. It wasn't a pleasant weekend to try to fill tags in but the deer were moving. Now it's supposed to get worse. Worse than we had it all weekend.

Shaun_300
They're getting hit by the same system down in Windsor, ON. Which is right on the other side of the river of Detroit, MI. We're getting hit tomorrow by it, but it'll be 4-6" of snow. Hope everything is ok down there, lets hope the power doesn't go out for you guys. Grant-KS
Oh snap! Here's our weather forecast. Ain't it great? http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Partridge&state=KS&site=ICT&textField1=37.9674&textField2=-98.0939 1-2" of ice overnight, up to .5" more tomorrow, and then under 1/2" of sleet on top of that. We already had about .5" of ice and sleet on the ground this morning already, but tomorrow is really going to stink! I just looked out the front door at the roof over the deck, and there are huge icicles hanging down with water pouring over them getting bigger all the time. I've got a feeling we're gonna be saying goodbye power for a good while here...

slugshooter
That's the thing with ice storms. They make for some pretty scenery, but are just downright nasty to be in.
