Re: Descent bow for Wife My oldest boy has a Browning Micro-Adrenaline that is adjustable from 22-27" and 35-50 pounds. It spits them out pretty good. Got it from e-bay for $150. It's lite too.

Re: Post your 2004 scores here. My ten-year-old said he wanted to shoot some 3D's in Jan. YAHOOOOOO! I got him a little Browning Micro-Eclipse one cam and he shoots it pretty good for starting out. Problem is: he wants to go to 30 and 40 yards after a couple good 15-20 yard shots! lol Oh well, I'm looking forward to 2004.

Re: Neighbor lost a calf to dogs That's a shame about the calf. I've pulled a few calves in my time. Never had trouble from dogs though. We always kept an eye on the first-timers and had them in a barn so we could pull them.

Re: What is this thing, gamie taste, game has??? I think it's in most peoples head. I trim off all fat and that slimey silvery stuff before freezing and never get a foul, gamey, whatever taste. If you tell them it's beef, they'll probably never taste anything different.

I've always taken the nibb out the opposite end and put a rod in the shaft and use it as a slide-hammer to nock out the unibushing. Or find a punch that will push the remaining nock part into the shaft, remove the nibb and let it fall out.

Re: Spanking? I try to do the private thing unless it is really bad. Observers can blow things out of proportion. I guess we don't like our boss to tell us what we did wrong in public with peers. Kids are no different.

Re: Spanking? Yes I have been on the receiving end. By a slap across the face, a belt, limb switch on the back of bare legs, a paddle, and a bare hand. Deserved it everytime. And learned from it too. I've got 3 boys. And I'll light there butts up too when they deserve it. There is no "timeout" crap.

Re: Wierd? Have fawns started dropping yet? Maybe there was a youngn nearby. I know when we were driving the tractor, they kinda kept the distance. But when it stopped, they were alert as can be. They know when we are after them or just out walking thru.
