  3. I work in Rockford Illinois.....and its now worse then Detroit.....I leave my courthouse at 505pm most of the time, and the zombie crack heads are already wandering about.....true shame what our society has become...did I mention I live in Illinois....yep, the ONLY state in the union that does not have concealed carry laws in place........al

  6. Went to a new stand I put up two weeks ago on the edge of a woodlot..at 528pm...all **** broke lose. I had a doe really bleating, and she had 7 good bucks chasin' her, and beating the heck out of each other...I heard snort wheezing, then bucks growling, and of course chase grunts every few seconds....the doe ran off, and a tight rack ten point, that was rolled early in the fighting by a huge drop tine buck, came wandering past my tree, tongue out, panting like crazy. I bleated to get him to stop, and heres where it got weird, I dont know if it was fate, but when I had him broadside, somehow I ended up hitting him mid neck, and it going hard and deep into his lung cavity. The buck tore into the woods, only to run past his victors that beat him up before, yep...they chased him to his death...he was the easiest to track.....blood everywhere...and chased till he dropped..it was a horrible day for him, and a lesson learned to slow down and make sure I hit em a little farther back...Ill take better pics to provide in the morning, he is cooling in the truck on ice! al
  7. OMG....I saw a small doe really bleating, and she had 7 bucks grunting, growling, and snort wheezing and fighting around her.....I didnt get a chance at one of the huge monarchs, but did get a 10 point out of all of it....I can't believe these goofball deer in Illinois....then when heading home, almost hit a herd of bucks chasing a doe down the road !!!! Starting to get totally weird in Northern Illinois...al
  8. Welcome to the forums....it is in your best interest to do quite a bit of research, or even have your gear/bow checked by a shop if possible before chasing gods creatures with the blades. Its a loaded question with broadheads, as we all have our "favorites". With that out of the way, I have not heard any bad of the Rage in my area, actually people rave over its performance...Im old school, and use a Magnus broadhead, it does a great job as well..other well known makers of broadheads with tried and true performance will do the job as well...Muzzy, G5's, and Im positive I missed a few. Have a great day, and best of luck this season.....al
