  4. I live in Ogle County if you ever need anything....hunting blind for turkey hunting season, you name it, I probably can find it for you...kudos to your efforts, great inspiration.........al
  5. I honestly would go to gun broker.com or tndeer.com there seems to be alot of guns moving on both sites....I would also call any of the pheasant or bird hunting places in your area, for some reason I get my best deals from upland game hunters that word of mouth can get you....hope this helps buddy...gunbroker.com I believe you can search by regional area, not sure, but its worth a shot...once you find a great .243, dont get rid of er'...they are great guns, I prefer a bolt action myself.....al
  6. Great post...totally rocks....what a great way to help others score on their deer........al
  7. Gotta love it....great job buddy.......al
  8. What a moron...let me get this straight...a perv aka peeping tom wants to peer in the windows of a big cop/martial arts expert.....does he want to die in the lawn.....call me when he gets shot, Ill be a witness he was armed and threatening bodily harm...or whatever you'd like me to say....definately not a bright one..........al
  9. Depending on upper body strength, and if she is only 9, lets have some true fun...the camo Mathews Genesis is an awesome bow my buddy bought for his son....he put great sights on it, with a whisker bisquit, and he and his little buddys shoot it all day, even in extreme cold...its a great bow to teach fundamentals without the muscle strain per say...I love the Darton line, but if she wants something that all her and her friends can shoot, and it retain its value for later down the road, to get her a hunting rig...well, Id have to go with the Mathews Genesis, and YES they come in Hot Pink.........thats my idea for the day..........al
  10. I shoot the older Nugent two blade Magnus, and with all sharp heads, shot placement is key....I dont get a great deal of blood, but I get good blood, and the deer dont go very far..last season, a 190 pound buck made it 40 yards bleeding excessively from the two blader.....if you want to try a couple Nuge blades for accuracy, Ill be more than happy to ship 2-3 heads sharpened to your door for free...and tips on shooting them from your bow....just pm me....no obligations.....al

    Hello everyone

Glad to see you on the forum young man, congrads on the deer, quite exciting.....hope you have many more seasons ahead buddy....al
  12. I love em...I have shot them for several years, blazed a heart shot out of a 9 point last year, he was a dead deer walking...all my deer went 50 yards or less....I carry the older black heads, two and four bladed, and a hand sharpener with me, they are always touched up, just to keep them Tedly, Deadly sharp.....you could shave with my broadheads.....I love em...nothing wrong with Muzzy, but I love my Magnus heads, if your buddy wants to sell his, Ill take em...pm me an addy...........al
  13. Interesting comment, that Ill leave alone about frustration...you gave it an effort, Im sorry you did not locate her...good luck on your hunts, and congrads to your buddy on the buck.......al
  14. How cold does it get there at night....if it gets cold, like Illinois, then he is dead by morning.....follow his blood, the exact trail you seen him on, and he will go about 100 yards before his final nap...if it gets real cold at night, go about 7am tommorrow and recover him....once the temps drop, and he has lost blood, and bile, then his body temp goes down as well, and he dies from shock...its natures way of ending his suffering....the shot you made, it happens to all of us, congrads in advance, I feel you will find him in the morning..........al
  15. That deer looks sick, like CWD sick....he should have a bit more body weight than that I think....man, if you get a chance, end his life....that little guy don't look healthy at all....good luck on waxing him with an arrow....al
  16. Great eating there Ruth, congrads on a fine table fare....man Im ready to whack something now...congrads on the deer.......al
  17. I dropped my son off last night at a cookout/sleep over for teens for life...its involved with my friends Catholic church, and brings teens and God together...its not focused on the Catholic faith, and seems to bring positive kids together, and some really "hot" chicks according to my son, and of course he was right...anyway..back to my luck..lol...the PRIEST IS A BOWHUNTER...and he was having issues with a bad shot on a big deer, and his older style Montecs he did not sharpen properly....so I ribbed him a bit, and gave him (6) deadly Tedly (Nugent) sharp broadheads for his next adventures in the field....heck, Im blessed for sure now...lol....anytime an ole Southern baptist can help a Catholic, Im in........I told him, may all your arrows fly true...Im blessed to get one for sure now...lol............have a great season gang...al
  18. Shoot at a target from an elevated position for fun before going out.....make sure everything is still tuned in...I had my sights bumped just recently, and if my son didnt catch it, I would be launching them good and clear of any deer.........you'll score, at least your seeing deer in range........thats half the battle right there........you will score.....good luck this season..al
  19. Congrads on a great deer buddy........truly a good one........al
  20. That doe is dead....you will find her in the morning...a deer will run open cover (bean field) then to security...treeline with brush.....look at the ground, follow the deer prints that you feel are hers, she will be digging in good with a shaft in her....she is dead, she just doesnt know it yet....take lots of pics.....you will find her if you buried one up to the crest........al
