  1. The harder the wind, the deeper I go into the woods...I don't care for anything over 30 in an open woods.....I 'll go deep, thats where I find most of my potential brown targets....al
  2. Kudo's to you and your managment practices......great buck for that fine bowhunter to shoot....al
  3. I just had it done last year...was off work for the weekend, no pain, kinda itchy when the stitch heals up, but nothing a little lotion wont settle down, I had no discomfort at all......its not bad at all.....go to a urologist...not just a regular doc.....make sure he knows what he is doing....once they give you the happy shot, you'll be singing while the ole doc goes to work......get it done, but remember the ammo is still alive and well, in my case over 7 weeks......then its blanks...get it done....anything further, pm me.....al
  4. Years ago, I fell 27 feet and fractured my left hand....lucky it didn't kill me.....always wear a harness.....ALWAYS......al
  5. I called him this weekend, he had just smoked a doe with a ml in Wisconsin on Saturday morning, and was loading her up...thats the last I talked with him.........al
  6. Great looking deer buddy...and to answer your question...if it involves bowhunting, we like to keep it with the bowhunting room....just our way to help the webmaster distribute the entertainment evenly over the rooms on this website.....kudos on the deer..........al

  9. All great answers.....other tricks to think of, and blending the blind in is a huge plus...rake out the floor of the blind, clear from all leaves and stick......this will help you a great deal at crunch time to shoot the deer.....and if you can, shoot a couple arrows from your seat in the yard at home, and add a padding if you are sitting too low....practice outside at home before hunting from it....it is different in a lot of ways from shooting from an elevated position......and wear black...yep, no camo upper body, black face mask and hood, and even jacket if you have it...and only have one or two front windows open at a time, this will totally conceal you.....blend it in good, have fun and enjoy buddy...keep us posted........al
  10. I hope Im the first to reply....Awesome...simply Awesome....my first bow kill was a scrub buck with very small antlers...but he tasted good, real, real good.....nothing like the mystical flight of an arrow....kudos to you buddy...now tell us your equipment, and all the good stuff......congrads again...al
  11. Due to his lack of fat, and great lean muscle tone, your genetics in that area rock....I am only estimating him for Indiana at 2-2.5 and right at 134 gross....he will be a monster in two more seasons.....but he is too skinny for a corn state to be older than 2.5 yrs......al
  12. Im going to explain "why" this post was moved...you would of had to have a minimum of 20 posts on these forums to keep it in classifieds, so to be an individual who respects your request, I did not delete the thread, just redirected it to keep it alive...I hope you understand, and good luck...al
  13. Great looking deer buddy.....nice job......al

  15. Id love to see the footage...Ill buy the CD to burn it to.....sounds like a great hunt.....congrads, backstraps for supper....al
  16. When the critter is as big as you describe, I close my eyes, and draw the bow, then focus on a spot, and shoot.....but keeping ready and mentally playing the game is a huge part of bowhunting.....picture a small doe or gopher your aiming on...quit looking at the antlers...this helps me tremendously.....focus on ribs, nothing else matters.....well, at least not at that point and time....shake after the shot...when it stops effecting you...give up bowhunting...good luck, try a few mental games, like closing your eyes for a moment to focus before you pull the bow back...........be safe, pick a spot and make the shot...kudos for not taking a poor shot..........al
  17. ILHUNTER1986 is our WINNER......have a great season gang...al

  19. If you are in fact the owner of a bow with split limbs, and do not have any as of yet....through great dealings with a young man from the forums for an arrow rest, well, I now have from the trade (3) Sims Limbsaver ultra's for reduction of shock, and noise...so if you dont have a set, then this is your one and only chance to get them from ole Dartonman for free....no strings attached....be the first to pm me, and they are yours....the two new designed ones are still in the package...al
  20. Yes, its true, I have too much "inside" time on my hands...but my dishwasher was not cutting it, I mean the dishes were coming out worse then they went in...so, I decided to investigate...and located a huge problem...we use those little bags of soap for the dishwasher, real handy and all that...well, those little bags had CLOGGED 90 percent of the sprayers on the sprayer bar, and the rod that moves up to spray the dishes from the bottom was full of them....so, instead of new dishwasher, this one was a 5 minute fix....so guys, and gals, if your using the easy bags of dishwasher soaps, time to clean out the sprayers.....my wife is tickled, and a bit concerned I need less work, and more play in the woods........new vacuum, dishwashers running great now....could be time to hang more treestands...lol.........al
  21. Do what I have learned to do....take out the steps to the stands, at least the first 5, and mark them with sticks, so you have no trouble putting them back in to hunt.....or, do what I plan when I get the bucks, portable climbing sticks, and a lightweight stand...I lost over 200 dollars last year to really good thieves.....they better never cross my path, cause Im mad enough to go to jail over this one............good luck buddy......al
  22. That so rocks...congrads on a great deer buddy....totally awesome.......al
