  3. Haven't been practicing yet. Hope to get to it soon. Hope my shoulder can handle it this year. Need to get those Physical Therapy bands back out to strenthen up.

    HELP!!

There is a brand of Frigid Forage "Wildgame Buffet" This will work in the shade for you. Try it, we are this year but have heard lots of good things about it. Good Luck! Coverage: 1/2 Acre - Perennial Blend - Planting Time: Spring, Summer, or Fall This all-around mix of perennials and bi-annuals takes into account most conditions (sun-shade, wet-dry, soil types, drainage, slope, traffic, etc.). Its varying rates of germination and maturation ensure there is a preferred plant age and type at any given time to satisfy all the hungry critters feeding on it. This blend is devoured by deer and upland birds alike and is available in 4.25 lb., 8.50 lb.25 lb. or 50 lb. containers. Its seeding rate if seeded properly is 8-10 lbs per acre. It contains; Mammoth Red Clover, Medium Red Clover, Alsike Clover, White Dutch Clover, Ladino Clover, Dwarf Essex Rapeseed, Perennial Ryegrass, Creeping Red Fescue, and Vernal Alfalfa.
  5. There are 2 different DLC Covert Cameras that we have. This first one is HR 8.0 This 2nd one is the Reveal "White Flash Camera"
  6. I use G5 Montecs. They have been very good on Elk and White tail.
  7. We are really enjoying the Covert Trail Cameras.
  8. All those wild flowers? They are beautiful!
  9. The weather this year has been unbelievable. We have had several tornados hit Wisconsin. One in our town and one in the town next to us. Luckily no one was seriously injured.
  10. Not yet, had a dry spell where I sat 6 times in a row and never seen a deer. This is strange since it is the rut in WI. Seen a very nice buck tonight but couldn't get him to come in. First time I have heard the snort wheeze in the woods from my stand. Good luck everyone!
  11. Sounds like some of you are having an awesome season in all areas of hunting. Congratulations to all of you who have suceeded so far this year. I have a couple of weeks off to bowhunt starting Oct 27th so hoping to join you all in celebrating.
  12. Yes, the Diamond Razor's Edge is a very good beginner bow and you can grow with it in draw length and poundage that you can pull back. Once you have hunted a while and want to spend more money then a Mathews Passion or DXT and Hoyt Vixen are some good choices. Good luck! Hope you enjoy hunting.
  13. Hope you get to feeling better soon. The best part of bowhunting is just about to start.
  14. Congrats on your up and coming full time position. If you are going to be working 12 hour shifts you might get more days off? So you can still hunt?
  15. Last year we started watching and learning about a specific buck. One great way to do this is with Trail Camera pictures and videos. My husband did see this particular buck in 2009 after already filling his tag therefore had to pass him up. This year we got several pictures of him again and were very happy he made it thru the bow hunting and gun hunting season of 2009. Six days ago my husand put together a video of him using all of our trail camera pictures and videos. This is out on You Tube it is called Muley a History Lesson 2. (he is not a muley but looks like one due to the characteristics of his antlers). My husband became very obesessed with this buck, as you watch the video you will see why. Well......His dream came true on Thursday this week. Please see the picture attached (p.s. you will notice I posted one of these pics prior to the season.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOY6dQ56opY 6 days ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYnjZSIZVbI The dream comes true. At the end you will notice the moment of silence. Talk about emotional.
  16. Wow!! Nice buck. Congratulations. The wait looks like it was worth it. :-)
  17. My season starts Sep 18. I also have Oct 27th thru Nov 9th off for the rut from both jobs.....yeah!!!
  18. My prayers go out to you to get good news and to recover from your surgery quickly.
  19. Hey everyone! I got a good feeling about this year. Been seeing some nice ones. Good Luck. Not sure about a name for the team.
  20. Women...... What would you like to see on this site? Do you find it useful? Is the site beneficial to you? We would like to drum up more traffic. Please ask your female hunting buddies to drop in. Thanks and good luck with your deer seasons whether it be bow or gun!

  23. Bow Season is right around the corner.:jaw: Are you ready? Have you been practicing? Have you taken inventory of what you have and what you need? Have your vacation planned around the Rut.....lol? I have been looking at the new Lady Dream Season suit. Mossy Oak Infiniti.....love that new design. When does your season start? Mine is Wisconsin and starts 9-18-10. I do work part time everyother weekend, of course that is my weekend to work. I have requested to work in the morning each day so I can sit an evening sit each day. They said if we weren't too busy she could have it covered and I might get the weekend off. That would be Sweet!
