The new bow
Congratulations on the new bow. I am glad that you got it early enough in the year to practice with the bow you plan to hunt with. Good luck!
Re: New To the Site, and Bowhunting.....
Welcome to the site. You may want to go to a shop and at least get measured and setup with a bow there. If the bow doesn't fit right you will have a hard time with the shooting. Good luck!! I have bow hunted seriously for the last 15 years.
Re: The Smack Down by Tiffany
A couple of weeks ago Lee/Tiffany and Jay/Tammy were in town for Mathews and I didn't even know it until too late. I would love to meet the Lakoskys and the Gregorys.
Re: Thunder Kickers (#10)
My pictures and measurements have been sent to Borch. My score should be posted soon. How many on our team got one? Me, griz, and whiskeyswamp?
Re: How do you make time for hunting
I am fortunate. I do not have kids, my husband loves to hunt also. And I get 5-6 weeks vacation. Most of my vacation is for hunting.
Re: Thunder Kickers (#10)
Wow!! What a hunt I had. I got my turkey Wednesday may 8th. I will have to mail my pictures to Borch or another member of our team.
My morning started out with a rough night. I was staying at my in-laws cabin (they stay up there most of the summer). The phone rang at 1:45 and rang 3 more times before 2:00. My father in law was called into work. I got up at 4:00 to get ready. I had another person meeting me up there to videotape my hunt. When I walked out of the cabin to talk with him at 4:30 I noticed all kind of damage to the bird feeders??? Once we got into the blind we were discussing the possibility of it being done by a bear. We have not had any sitings of bears before. I love hearing the woods wake up. As it was getting light out we seen a bobcat and got that on video. By 7:00 I got my turkey!!!!
22.5 lbs
11" beard
1 1/4" spurs
With a score of 69.5 for the ThunderKickers
Re: b-day gift for the wife
I also have the Remington 870 20 gauge. You would be surprised the distance you can get out of them. I have shot several Turkeys at 40 yards or more. I have also let my 2 newphews use for their first time. My gun has lots of turkey experience.
Re: Thunder Kickers (#10)
Can't wait to get out hunting. My season starts on May 3rd. My husband got his Wed and said the "big boy" is still out there. Sure hope I see him and can get him!!
Re: Realtree Turkey Team #10
Good luck everyone!! I hope this year is as good to me as last year. I had 3 turkey tags for the year and filled them all. My season is starts May 3rd and lasts 5 days.
Re: What are you doing to keep your self occupied?
Not much to do here right now. Getting spring fever back and getting the itch to start shooting the bow for practice.
Re: Ladies, I could use some insight
Another thing to think of is if both of you are coming off relationships that didn't work. She may want some time to do whatever she wants without answering to anyone for awhile. Give her time if it is meant to be it will work out. Good luck!
Re: Heart rate
When I am bow hunting any deer that comes in makes my heart pound. It's the excitement of seeing a deer and the possibility of taking the shot.
Re: Question for the Ladies
I never can find Tall pants in Women's sizes, would also like to see more of a selection, and I think boots and gloves would be my suggestions.
VT.....Do we get samples? lol
