We have had our trail cameras out and have been getting some really nice pictures of the bucks and does in the area. Several are definitely on the top of my list. I have also been practicing by going to some 3-D shoots and have done well.:hammer1::hammer1::hammer1: and I am ready to put the hammer down.

Went to an Archery 3-D shoot this morning. Did really well and beat both guys that I shot with. Look out deer!! Hope everyone else is practicing for opener for Bow hunting.

Got my bow out this weekend. Haven't shot it since last bow season. Went to a shoot and did well.:clap::clap: With all the NICE buck pictures we are getting on our trail cameras I don't want to miss if one gets in front of me. Have the rest of you been practicing?

I shoot the Mathews DXT and love it. You might want to try that one too.

My turkey season wasn't too good this year. I did get a jake but didn't take measurements or pictures so not sure if I can enter it in the contest. I have an overall picture. I do have the beard in which I can still take a picture of and the legs. Who can I ask about still entering it?

Once you have the turkeys patterned a blind is a great thing. Especially when you intend to sit for a long period of time, taking a child, taking a lunch, or have a wiggle problem. :-) We have used the Covert, The Primos Max Ground Eclipse and the Double Bull. I have gotten several turkeys out of blinds. Get one! You won't regret it.

Ok...this will age me. lol 1992 Associate Degree in Medical Record Technician. Have worked for a Health Insurance company for 17 years. Am a supervisor over the Health Claims Department.

Tonight we went looking for Morel mushrooms. We found 2 Wal-Mart bags fulls :jaw:. Had some tonight with our burgers, they were delicious!!:eat: Hoping to look for more this weekend. Has anyone else been out looking?

Hey snap been doing good. Busy with 2 jobs and trying to fit hunting in. Hoping to be down to 1 job this year in order to get more hunting in.

My first turkey was a tom on May 1, 1997. Weighed 22 pounds, beard was 22 inches, and the spurs were 1 1/8 and 7/8. I remember that there was still snow on the ground. I used my Remington 870 20 gauge.

Yep, July 2009 traded in my Mathews Q2 for a Mathews DXT. Didn't get a deer this year but did get my first Robin Hood with it.

I just put through my request for my new turkey gun. I have decided to go with the Benelli M2 Field 20 gauge in APG HD camo with a 26" inch barrel semi auto. I was a little shocked at the price but have heard good things. It does have to go through approval at Benelli through my employer. It is also on back order about 2 weeks. They said I should have by my turkey season the first week of May. Keep your fingers crossed. I am excited to try this new gun out. :hammer1: Look out Turkeys,.

It has been awhile since I have been on the site. It is super to see some of the same old names and great to see many new names on the site. Hope everyone has been doing well with your hunting seasons. What season are you getting ready for next??? I am getting ready for Turkey season. 2009 was not a good year to me but I am ready to begin 2010 with a positive attitude and new start.:1eye:

I currently have a Remington 870 express pump. It has worked wonders for many years. Last year my pump was sticking so I need to have it taken apart and cleaned inside and out. Thought it also might be fun to get a new gun for turkey season this year. Was looking at the Benelli Nova but it was brought to my attention that the pump gets sloppy and noisy. Has anyone had issues with the Nova pump?
