Re: Poached Deer Pic, (it wasn't a crime against the state in any way shape or form, it was a crime against a land owner, Me.) may be im looking at this defferently.yes the kid shouldnt have been on yur land. but its up to the land owener to decide if they press charges for trespassing not the state. no you didnt have to give hem the head. as long as the kid understands what he done was illegel. it was your land as long as you feel in your heart the kid learned the right lesson i comend you. i dont know if i could have been so nice. but eighter way pressing charges on trespassing is your decision.

this club is in cantol ILL. congrats Rick and black diamond archery. our hats are off to you all Black Diamond Archery Club Holds Second Annual Shoot to Benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the second year in a row, Black Diamond Archery Club held a 3D archery shoot over the Labor Day weekend to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Once again, the benefit was a success as the club raised $3,236.00 to help kids battling cancer. Rick Bohanan, President of Black Diamond and organizer of the shoot, said 181 shooters turned out over the weekend to help the cause. Despite totals lower than last year, Rick was very pleased with the number of people willing to give up their holiday weekend to help the children and families of Central Illinois who find themselves fighting this sometimes terrible illness. In 2005, 240 participants raised $4,200 during the benefit. Rick organized the benefit shoot last year in memory of his wife Maudeen. Combining his passion for archery and a willingness to help others, organizing the benefit in honor of his wife was easy. And, as anyone who knew Maudeen would agree, she devoted a lot of time to being helpful and beneficial to others, so honoring her with a memorial shoot was a natural fit. Interestingly enough, Rick said the idea to hold the benefit came to him while on the seat of his Bobcat. Over two years ago, Black Diamond had to relocate the club when the Nature Conservancy auctioned the property that had held the range for years. Even though the move was just a short drive down the road, much work needed to be done to ready the new property. Rick donated a lot of time and energy to help get the new property fit to meet the standards that members and guests had become used to. While doing that work, he thought of a way to utilize the new range during the Labor Day weekend. Traditionally a huge tournament weekend for the club, nothing was planned in 2005 because of the move. Rick asked the board and members of the club if he could use the range for his own personal use during that upcoming holiday weekend. They asked why and he shared his plan and all agreed. Not only did they agree, but they also pitched in to help Rick make the first benefit shoot a bigger success than imagined. Now, after the second year, it looks like an idea that started as way to repay him self for some donated time has turned into a successful benefit for a more than worthwhile cause. While talking with Rick about the shoot, he wanted to emphasize the fact that he couldn’t have made it work with out the help and hard work of club members and volunteers. “I just want to thank everyone who has helped me make this benefit a success. The turnout has been overwhelming and it is amazing to see people come together to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We have had some great donations from sponsoring businesses and individuals and without them it wouldn’t work. I am happy with the turnout again this year and I want to encourage everyone to continue to support this cause and hopefully we will do it again next year.” Rick continued, “The money raised is donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Maudeen, but the important part is that it goes to help children in Central Illinois with this illness. Every little bit helps. “ Fulton County Outdoors couldn’t agree more with Rick’s statement. We salute Rick and all the members and participants who made the benefit a success. It is another testament to the integrity and helpfulness of the people who live and hunt in Fulton County . ……Rick is still taking donations for the benefit. If you would like to make a donation, you may send it to Rick Bohanan, 25919 North Pin Oak Drive , Canton , Illinois , 61520 . All checks should be made out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. ……Fulton County Outdoors will also be posting a list of sponsors and individuals that Rick would like to have recognized.
