Re: how good is the new mathews outback? I'm not a big fan of the grip. It seems awefully big. A bow is only as good as the shooter. My $280 Vapor 300 shot pretty close to my $600 XTEC. The XTEC is just a better bow, and much more of a pleasure to shoot. I have shot better since getting it though.

Re: Thompson/Center Encore Thanks AJ. A couple people told me that. I probably want to wait until after Tech school, or maybe have a parent sign for it.

Re: Thompson/Center Encore A few people have told me that a full outfit, meaning full stock and barrel, are usually about $600, with extra barrels being about $300. I know I'd rather spend $300 for an extra barrel, like a .22-250, than $600 or $700 for a whole new gun.

I'm thinking of maybe getting one of these in the future. I usually only get one shot while rifle hunting, plus, I still have my bolt gun for drives if necessary. Anyone have any experience on this gun? I really like the Realtree Hardwoods HD stock and stainless barrel.

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your weapons--your quiver and your bow--and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me. Hunting and fishing are my favorite things to do in life. I just really like this verse because of that.

Re: Wrong Stand Nope, can't say I have. Our stands are usually far enough apart that you can't see where your other stands are from the one you're in.

Re: Yes or No? No. Food plots are a great way to get deer the nutrition they need. Plus, if you take a young hunter out hunting, food plots are a great spot to sit and see deer.

Re: Scent Lock I don't have a ScentBlocker or ScentLok suit. I see plenty of deer with what I have now. If there is a time where I don't see any deer, and it could be because of scent, then I'd probably consider buying one.

Congrats on a great season. I'm not much into snowmobiling. We have some that are older than me and don't run. No one has ever shown me how to go about it. But, it does look fun.
