  1. It was not as bad as the predictions at first. I still have the day off work and we are at a level 3 still. So I really do not know what it is like around here LOL. I guess between me and work it is worse.
  2. Its all fine and dandy in the long run. I always realize that I only have to put up with them for the work shift and they are stuck with themselves all the time.
  3. They told us at work as we clocked out that we would be shut down today. The sons were told that to not come in if it was a level 3. It is level 3. The wind made it difficult to get sleep but we are lucky enough to still have power. It helps that it was not as bad as they made it out to be.
  4. I can not believe today. I was lucky enough to get ask to day shift to replace a guy who is moving on to another company. So I am with him this week to learn the machines (Not much time for 3 of them but oh well). Well it seems everything I say (and do) I am completely wrong. There are matters I know are fact but still I am wrong. Even what my son is planning on doing for a career is not possible.:nono::no: (Yes it is and is factual). I wisely say nothing since this is the only week I have to deal with him and I do need him to stick around long enough for me to get a clue. You ever meet someone like this?
  5. I am in agreement with Strut and snapper. I won't step up to do it for said reasons given.

    Whats the deal

I looked through the thread trying to find out what "cussing" there is. I do not see any. Maybe I need new eye wear?
  7. Tough choice for me with 3 sons and a wife. So I guess to settle down the hard feelings it would be wife for a bear hunt . My best and favorite hunts have always been the youth hunts with my sons where I did not carry any gun or bow.
  8. I started out with a box call along with a slate friction call. They are quicker to learn than the mouth call. I discovered that I was unable to use a mouth call with a bad case of gag reflex so I just stayed with the others. You can learn a lot from reading past threads and checking out the site.
  9. I was hoping to go to SE Kentucky this spring to hunt with family.
  10. As I watched it earlier and called my wife in to see the video, I looked at her in a certain way and got what I wanted. Peace and quiet for over a hour.::shifty:

    New Job update

That is good it has worked out this way for you.
  12. Ditto from me. There is no music in the woods except the sounds of nature. If the hunter is whispering at least put up some close captioning so we can understand.

    Age Span

I am 4 years older than my wife. Will be married 31 years in August. She will be 47 so you can do the math.
  14. I once had a picture of my most used call. I don't know what happened to that pic and my calls are currently 250 miles away from so..............................

  16. I have not been hunting since spring turkey season. Hopefully my hunting will begin again this spring.
  17. I wish you luck in your quest. I have only hunted Easterns so I can not be of much help.
  18. Here is a link that might help http://www.realtree.com/hunting/resources/outfitters
  19. I helped chase down a emu once about 12 years ago. It was fun but we were smart about it. We cornered it until the owner got there with a rope and something to cover it's head.
