Ruger 10/22's are still legal to own and buy in NY. Even the NY state police confirmed this on their website under banned guns in NY as of 2013.

Man oh man, I'm not sure if your going to get that hide off that form if he used a good quality commercial hide adhesive. If it wasn't tanned and just DP'd you will also have issues. I wish you luck and keep us posted.

Coming in here a little bit late, but all I have to say is WOW! He doesn't know how to mount cats. Unfortunately we don't have a season here to hunt or trap cats, so I have never gotten my hands on one to mount here at the shop. BUT I have seen and been around hundreds of bobcat mounts from various taxidermist from around the country to know that, your cat is in need of help. Ears are way off and that pose is something I have to question. The crap about the cat not fitting the form is all BS. No form fits the animal the way it should and we modify the forms to fit.

Good luck. Ours opens Saturday also. For me it will be a lawn chair 1 box of shells and a thermos of coffee. To broke to afford anything else.

Thats a new one to me. Cleaning mounts can be time consuming and must be done with caution. Stay away from harsh chemicals and bleaches. When I clean mounts I just use a good pet shampoo and blow dry immediately. I have heard of other guys using Pert shampoo and have had good results.
