I have taken 2 deer with the Rage 2 blade so far with no apparent problem and complete pass through on both Deer. I would be interested to know if there were any major bones hit on this Deer, and if so, what kind of shape were the blades in? I think that would be the one weakness of the Rage broadhead. Sounds like the shoulder bones were more to blame than the broadhead for the lack of a blood trail if they were indeed plugging both the entry and exit. While the blades not staying deployed is certainly an issue, I am not sure I would characterize a shot that results in a Deer falling within sight as a failure. I pretty much agree with what Pass_Thru_Archery is saying.
