  4. Hey Everyone, Well the trip was cut short on my call a few reasons weather was warm which I kinda figured on but today we had heavy rain, tornado watch lol and secondly the foliage was pretty thick yet making it hard for filming due the canopy making lighting low and then we lose good camera light quick. Besides that hunt was good , saw deer every sit just the big boys werent moving. I had planned on a 3 day hunt to scout area etc and make sure it was something that I wanted to do come November( which I now know I will return) Jerry Cahill is a great guy ,outfitter with a good area and alot of big bucks ( after seeing some pics from last year) I just couldnt see spending time there looking out window at rain etc So i put another day in the bank for my return which Ill do on my way to Illinois in november. Thanks again to Ben, Dan, Jeremy and Todd for putting up posts Apperciate it alot!!!

  6. usually varies on the hunter and terrain. I myself use alot of 16 ft ladder stands . About 7 years ago I slid down a tree ( no safety harness , very dumb move on my part) Since then I havent been over 18 ft. And since that slide Ive worn a safety vest!
  7. yep make sure theres fuel in the generator and snow shovel is out lol

Wiil be going back all season ,unless I tag out this coming weekend. Cant wait! have all my trusty texters on board for texts and pics as well. 9. Chris His family owns a pile of land, looks like nites are going to be over bean fields. Mornings are just back in timber not sure on that part but trail cams are showing good movement in daylight on the beans. seeing some good ones he says
  10. Ill be headed to Beaver Ohio for the archery opener! Cant wait Will post more details as it gets closer
  11. Been alot of research done on that and I think it comes down to if the buck is interested. Have had many times buck cruising just out bow range and I grunt a few times and he acts like he didnt hear it. Other times they come right in. Im myself dont do alot of blind grunting usually like to see deer first and see how he reacts

  14. Well , Im back home now..Feels good to be here and alot cooler lol. The hunt as you know ended up without a buck , but a great amount of memories for sure. As usual Mother Nature reared her ugly head and gave me a week of 80 degree temps, way unseasonable! But It didnt stop Gage and I from trying we changed sets, sat on water holes etc. We saw deer everysit alot at close range 10 yards or so . We had a bucks in around the 120 inch mark every day , but I was after one of the big boys we had trail cam pics of. We gambled and lost But I have news for those big boys ................. Im going back on october 23 in time for the muzzleloader opener and its game on ! Gage Lowery the owner of Wildwoods Outfitting graciously offered me to return at no cost! Just have to show up in Winnipeg. He was my cameraman for this week and we hit it off as good friends and he again will be my camerman for 3 days So Im excited for another chance at one of those giants! The one I saw the last evening was 115 yards away with minutes left of camera light was a nice tease. It looked like a monster 10 pt all of 170 inches with velvet hanging. A sight I wont soon forget So next stop is Ohio for the bow opener for 3-4 days gotta get ready for that now Thanks to Dan, Ben, Todd and Jeremy for being my trusty texters as well without them it wouldnt have been here to read!
