Re: No sure what to do! Ryan this is just my opinion, what happened to your parents was a terrible accident, and I am glad they are going to be alright. God had nothing to do with except the fact that he kept them safe. Everyone has choices in life, turn left or turn right, take the job or don't take the job, move or don't move. The thing is Ryan, you have to make the choice. Then and only then will you know if you did the right thing. To me it sounds like a great opportunity for a career advancement. Good luck on your decision, and I am very glad that your family is alright. God bless all of you.

Re: West Virginia Bow Season. where are you located in W.Va., I live in Hancock Co., and I can't wait for season to get started.

Steelers quarterback had to have emergency sugery on sunday. He appearently had appendicitis and had to have it removed. He is definitely going to miss the season opener, maybe even the first two to three games. Bad luck for the Steelers.

Re: Scariest several years ago I was building a tree stand. I actually had the stand completed, but had taken some camo paint back to camo the stand. I had climbed up the steps and was setting the stuff onto the stand when my hand slipped and I fell backwards 18 to 22 feet. When I hit the ground, I rolled backwards to help absorb some of the shock, but I soon realized that it didn't help that much. I found myself lying there on the ground, numb from the waist down. I lied there for a little over an hour before I had the full feeling back in my legs, and was able to get up. I made it back to my vehicle, and drove myself home. Later that night, around 4:00 in the morning, I awoke and was unable to breathe. I drove myself to the hospital and they ran some tests. They told my that because of the fall, I had hit so hard that I had caused myself to have a kidney stone, which I passed later that morning. I was able to go back to work that afternoon, thankfully.

Re: Has anyone ever heard of Huntnbiz? Buckee, it sounds as if you have checked this out or you may even be a member. From what the gentleman told me the other evening, you can also be what they call a preferred customer. This entitles you to their monthly magazine and video. You can also still write the stories, submit the videos and photos. I don't know how well or even if they pay, my main thing is getting stories printed, or photos and videos seen. Also send me a pm, I would like to speak to you on a few issues. Thanks buckee.

Re: What a waste In W.Va. the dnr take any road kill bears, they do measurements and what ever other scientific studies they may do. Then from what I was told they have them mounted, and put them in visitor centers around the state.

I read an ad in our local newspaper, that said if you are interested in hunting and fishing for a living give me a call. I called the number and spoke to a gentleman who came to my home just the other day. He showed me a presentation, about this business. Basically, when you go on hunts take photos of the hunt, and if possible film your hunt. Afterwards, write a story about your hunt and send it to hunt'n biz, and they will print your story, and pay you up to $70.00 for it. Each photo used, they will pay you $10.00, and if they use your video, they will pay you $120.00 per minute of video used, up to four minutes. There are also other ways to make money, by booking hunts, or by buying equipment, and so on. So I was just wondering if any of you had heard about this business.

I could bite a nail in half right now!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: I could bite a nail in half right now!!!!!!!!!!! If it is anything like West Virginia, on a citation, most of the ticket is court costs, I believe in W.Va now court costs is between $120 to $140 just in court costs, the rest would be the fine. The bad thing about the court costs is that it all goes to the state, and not to the town or county. The good thing about it, is that a portion of the court costs goes to the state police retirement fund. Sorry for your luck, but I believe that you have a good point, and I believe that you did the right thing. -
Re: Test your IQ scored a 122, not bad for a 49 year old ex cop.

Re: What kind of job do we have? I am now a direct sales rep for Comcast Cable Co, prior to that, I was in law enforcement for fifteen years. 7 years as a city police officer, and 8 years as a deputy sheriff.

Re: M*A*S*H trivia on this episode, a soldier came in with a serious head wound. BJ, Hawkeye, Margaret and Father Mulkahey worked on him to prevent what?
-
Re: M*A*S*H trivia actually Radar's physical defect was that he had six toes on his feet. also, rewatch the episode about the eye doctor and Hawkeye, that is not Sidney Freedman, I believe that he played a staff officer from Icorp sent to mash to observe the unit.

A Christian Hunter's Devotions and Studies
deerslayer2295 replied to TreeWalker's topic in The Spiritual Camp
Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies Hello all, awhile back I wrote to some of you and said that I felt that I was being called to serve, but was afraid to make a commitment for fear of failure. Failing to serve my lord as a good christian, failing to be able to live the life I need to, to glorify god. I struggled with this for such a long time. I believe it was right before Christmas. But I want you all to know that today that all changed for me. While at church today god was working on me something fearous, and was telling me to come to him, come and ask for forgiveness. Come and pray for your salvation. I spoke to my pastor and told him I needed to go to the alter. I asked him to please help me to pray to god, help me to feel gods love and forgiveness for my sins. I told him that I was ready to lift those burdens from my shoulders, and to serve Christ. I asked him to please pray with me and for me, because I needed to learn to pray, and while I was at the alter, I felt a burning in my heart. A feeling that I have never quite felt before. I felt as though a million pounds had been lifed from my shoulders. I just wanted you all to know that I feel so much different, and it feels awesome. I also want to thank all of you who responded to me in my time of need and that your thoughts and prayers helped me tremendously. Please continue to pray for me so that I may grow in Christ, and be the Christian that god wants me to be. Thank You once again, Curt -
Re: If you support Law Enforcement officers I was glad to sign the petition, but I have a bad feeling that this dumb game is going to be the cause of at least one law enforcement officer death, god forbid. God bless anyone in this forum who is in law enforcement, or even is a friend of a law enforcement officer. Also dear lord, watch over and protect each and every brave soul who puts on the uniform to serve and protect.

Re: sick to my stomach Hey, I am 48 yrs old, and about five or six yrs ago I took the bowhunters safety course. I did pick up on several points that I have put into use since then. You can teach old dogs new tricks, so don't be afraid of learning something new. Also once you have the training, you can go to any state I believe as long as you can afford the license.
