Time Lay My Beloved Polaris 500 H.O. to rest.

Re: Time Lay My Beloved Polaris 500 H.O. to rest. Well we bought the 700 EFI. Very smooth. I will personaly never buy an ATV that isn't fuel injected. What a difference. Took it on food plots, draged a few logs, and went screamin down trails. That Vtwin in either efi or regular model away's seems to have more power. Pics in lounge -
Re: Bad Wisconsin State Trooper. I was in eau claire also today lol. Went to water street to visit my sister lol

Here it is. Spent most of the weekend on this machiene. The Electronic Fuel Incejtion make a Huge difference in throttle response compared to our other 700. It also handles great at speed on trails and always has that extra power to burn, prolly more than i'll ever need. I used it to springtooth a cornfieldand drag stalks off and it didn't even seem to break a sweat. Nor does the other 700 but the EFI has better throttle control. I would recomend this ATV to anyone/

Re: Look at who i caught! Not much you can do. We've had tresspassers before. One year turkey hunting we had 4 kids on ATV's driving on our trails. They got scared and booked.. too bad theres no where for them to go so they came back to the gate. We just asked them to ask next time. They saw an open gate and figured they could drive right in. We got good results. They typicaly ask us once a year if they can ride our 200 and we just say go ahead just don't tear up the trails and stay out of the food plots. This guy was huntin sumthin. So if you see him again just wait for him or put a not on his truck an ask him to ask the next time or warn him not to enter again or the next time police will be involved.

Re: Outsourcing strikes again. Hmm... I gotta see the numbers on the factory. Obviously it was much more cost effective to build a plant in mexico and sell to the united states. You can't tell an unskilled worker that he's gonna have to take a pay cut. I think its time some people in america wake up and smell the coffee. These Big Companys are being forced to pay higher wages, pay benifits etc. There's no way they can make a normal profit in many instances. Also. Black and Decker competes with foreign imported tools. And as we all should know, american goods are typicaly higher priced than the stuff made in asia. If you look at great britian. They went from industrial giant to service nation. Merchants, technology, programmers, doctors. Thats the same way america is going to go. Its too bad the company has to move out, but in our socity, factory jobs are being phased out fast. IMO, the people of this factory should have tried to get some form of higher education and training so they could go into a skilled position.

Yeah thats right. Was it the crappy polaris tranny. No. Was it the Belt burning or slipping. No. Was it anything that I have ever heard someone say bad about a polaris. No. Its time for an UPGRADE!! My dad and I have schemed a plot to buy a new ATV (one that mom is A ok with{graduation present}). We have a 700 but now we are lookin at an EFI model. Either the 800 or 700 EFI model. Have not made the decision yet. Also we have been lookin at a yamaha 660 Grizzly. Any Input is alowed. I am pretty Biased to Polaris. We still have a 250 Trail boss that was made in 91 that still runs on the polaris PVT transmission. The one that everyone calls junk. Never had a problem with our first 500 and neither the 500 H.O. or 700 as a matter of fact. Anyone for the Yamaha 660. They have always been a close second in my book to Polaris, but it seems like yamaha has left the utility and big bore ATV market. Haven't seen anything new from them for awhile. Oh yeah. Haven't rode the EFI's yet. I hear they are much smoother than the carbureation models. I must admit the 700 is pretty jerky on take off. Anyone Ride an EFI yet?

Re: bowhunting What you need to do this summer is find where that buck is sleeping. Or any deer in your area. Then, Find a draw or a trail that leads to a feeding area. My Advice would be to set up several stands between feeding and bedding areas. Also. Maybe hunting in the afternoon would be you best bet in the early season. That way you can stealth in while they are in their beds. Durrin the run change stands durring the day if the deer seem to have you pegged. During Nov 1- 16 the deer will be all over and moving throught the day. Also.. the best way to keep in teh game is to just wait for that one deer and not shoot a lesser buck.

Re: THIS IS NOT GOOD! I bet that disease can be found throught the united states. Prolly just something a few deer every year get and no more. just my 2 cents. When i see deer cronicaly wasted and stumbleing over themselves then I'll be concerned.

Re: Flying the American Flag at half-staff: I agree. The pope was a freedom figheter, and a great teacher for everyone in the world. I'm not catholic, but i feel we need to respect this man as a nation for all the miracles and great things he has done throughout the world.
